Holdsworth Mistral circa 1985

It's time to move this nice old Holdsworth Mistral frame on to a new owner. It's spaced for a 120 hub and has Campagnolo dropouts and a Tange headset with some kind of cartridge bottom bracket. It should be made from Reynolds 531 tubing--there seems to be a faint ghost of the 531 decal at the top of the seat tube.Seat tube is about 60 cm C to C.

Some minor issues: original paint is extensively scratched and chipped, though sound and rust-free. The seatpost binder bolt seems to have turned it its hole at some point leaving the holes a bit enlarged (see photos). This could probably be addressed with creative use of washers. There's one tiny, almost imperceptible blip--It doesn't rise to the level of a dent--in the top tube, easily dealt with during a repaint or powder coat. If the frame fit me I would have no hesitation about riding it without a repaint, but I'm one of those guys who has no problems with patina

Not really sure what to ask. How about $125 plus shipping?

I can take additional photos, but probably not right away--I'm going on a week-long bike tour tomorrow, then will only be home for a few days before taking off again until about July 20.

EDIT: the Suntour Vx-S rear derailleur that appears in one of the photos isn't included--I just bolted it on to see how it looked, but I have other plans for it.

Nice Holdsworth. Too bad it's so big and so far away. GLWS.

I had one of these for a while. Whoever buys it is going to have an excellent rider.

@jonwvara - Are you back? Why do you think it is a 1985 vintage? Can you provide pics of the BB and the "blip"?

Yes, pulled in from Labrador City at 1 AM this morning. I've never done a canoe trip like that one--feel sort of like I've been beaten up for two weeks. A great time, all in all.

Check out a previous thread about this frame--I think it's called "Mystery Mistral"--for speculation on the date of the frame. 1985 was the consensus of those much more knowledgeable about Holdsworths than I am.

I've got to catch up on some stuff over the next few days, but I will try to send you those pictures by Monday or so.
