Bike Logo ID

Hi all, long time lurker here. Was wondering if anyone knows the brand of the logo shown below? The bike had no other branding on it, but I believe it was made in Japan. Just curious. Thanks.

For some reason...and I could be COMPLETELY wrong here...this strikes me as one of the Fuji logos...

According to MOMBAT, it looks like Cannondale, after 1990: MOMBAT: Cannondale Bicycles History

After Googling this...it does not look like Fuji or Cannondale...

My first instinct was Cannondale.

I don't think it's anybody's logo, it's just a 'graphic", just an '80s decoration. Which means you'll have to scour hundreds of old catalog scans before you chance on it, but chances are good it's something mass-market and Japanese-or-Taiwanese-made, but not necessarily an Asian BRAND.
Note: That Canondale LOGO has 6 stripes this double-peak graphic has 9 stripes (x2).
To the OP: if you showed us ALL of the bike it would help with better guesses!

Just snapped a quick pic in the wild b/c I thought the graphic was unusual. Looked like a Miyata frame to me. The logo does resemble Cannondale but is also different.

Ah, I get it now. Well it's still an excuse to look at loads of catalog scans, I'd concentrate on the "new wave" years, which for bikes could be from 1982 to 1990...happy hunting
