In search of and want to buy or perhaps trade for.
High quality steel frame and fork. Seat tube about 50ish cm center to center. Top tube no longer then 50cm c-c. Italian would be nice. Not interested in Japanese frames unless it's a Zunow.
Please PM me if ya have anything.

Have: NOS Gipiemme Sprint (?) brakes, recessed mounting, not particularly long reach maybe 40-50mm. Missing a small pin but otherwise look brandy new.
Would like to trade for similar quality/condition Shimano brakeset or pair of Shimano aero brake levers or 8 speed barcons or backwards Tri-style brake levers.

I've got a couple in less than good condition which would need some polishing and a new decal... if all else fails...

Does anybody have some old cable cutters? I'm just looking for some that can still cut cleanly. Maybe older Shimano ones.
Anyway, I have a Campy Icarus RD and...monetary items.

Mostly Mischief
EDIT: Taken care of.
Looking for small (about 50-52cm) race geometry frame/fork for the guy below. Reynolds 531 or above. Paint condition unimportant, but no dents. Shamelessly offering dinero from his piggy bank to the right candidate.

ISO inexpensive alloy 27 or 700c wheelset. Nothing fancy, just a little lighter than the seel Weinmann's I currently have.

This is a little complicated, here's the back-story...Thanks to the great generosity of Tigerprawn, I have his Nishiki International frame at home. The fork was completely trashed, yet the frame itself in in very good shape I examined it carefully for bulges and dents and so far see none. This is probably from the early '80s, may be built of Tange Champ #2 tubing, has Suntour forged horizontal DOs, has NOT been drewed, is 58cm C-T with a 56cm TT. here's a "before" pic:
we removed the crank and BB, upon removing the HS I found the race to be cracked so that's toast, too.
Here's the deal: somebody (preferred from this forum) who can pick up locally (SF BayArea) can have the bare frame for FREE...
I have 2 options for a replacement fork, both are all chrome Taiwanese, one threaded and with single eyelets and more clearance, drilled for a nutted front brake, close to new appearance; the other threadless, tight clearance, drilled for Allen bolt front brake, and brand new, no eyelets.
I know I have a HS I can install for the threaded fork, don't think I have a 1" threadless HS...I can cut down either fork's steerer and they both are longer than they need be.
(more pics in this album: https://s55.photobucket.com/albums/g1.../chrome_forks/)
If somebody wants the frame WITH a fork and HS I offer to sell that for my cost for those parts, nothing additional for the bare frame...cost will depend on the option but figure between $60-$90 and if you're out of the area shipping is extra, too.
EDIT : DEAL IS DONE, Gone to DRIETZ
