Well photobucket is being all stupid so I can't do decent pics, but here's a lugged Stumpjumper that looks pretty original, asking $200. Not my thing, but someone else should buy it before I do for no other reason than it's a lugged Stumpjumper. hahahaha

Here is a NOS 1974 Raleigh International, out of the box, and with the wrapping paper removed just last month. It's a time capsule.

Yes. I suspect he'll do whatever you pay him to do that is within his skill set. I believe he has a waiting list of work. I guess you're asking if he would refuse to modify something so pristine. I don't know, but if I were in his shoes, it wouldn't bother me. I might enjoy it. As others have said here before, something is NOS for only a moment.

57cm Italian Road Bike(Columbus SL frame) - $300 [Denver]
This (link) has been sitting on Denver CL for a while. Mish-mash of parts, unknown Italian frame powdercoated red to make it faster, etc. Could be a nice deal, but a bit small for me.
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to the builder? I don't think it's SL since there is no cross-member on the chainstays, more likely SLX. But who knows. Best pics for ID below:

I can't speak for Mr Weigle but that would be the boneheaded move of all time. It is insanely rare to discover a top end model literally still in the box in brand new mint condition. I'm not particularly purist at all, but you'd have to be crazy to butcher this one. Save the rando conversions for old beat up bikes that need new paint anyway.

Which is why it'd be easy to find a weatherbeaten one that Pete could convert and repaint for you, and for a lot less than $2400. I've committed some crimes against much lesser bikes and don't care who knows, but NOS examples of any high end bike should be left original. I certainly wouldn't mess with it.

18 speed Panasonic tri bike for sale. I really love this bike, but it's a little too big for me. I think it's supposed to be for someone who is 5'7 or 5'8. This bike is great for long rides and training and is a unique model. The one main difference is that the gear shifts are not on the handlebars. Tri bars and water bottle holder included.
