It's a low end Miyata but sure is pretty. This is the opposite of a DKO flipper.

Miyata 112

[h=2]Miyata 112 - $185 (San Clemente)[/h]Another rescue bike from pacelinebikes.com. We just finished this rehab of a '87 Miyata One Twelve.
Quality detailing with refurbished headset, bottom bracket, hubs, and freewheel. Original paint in very good condition with some scratches but no dents or bends. 53cm. New parts include: saddle, cables, cable housing, tires, tubes, rim tape, handlebar tape, period correct toe cages and straps. You won't find an 80's 12 speed in this condition for this price. Check out the seat post and the detailing that was done to the areas you don't see with the saddle in place. Every nut, washer, spring, and bolts on the brakes as well as the headset components, bottom bracket components were cleaned, brass brushed, and polished. Only $185

Just WOW.

I like it too much for the wacky section, and it seems like a reasonable price.

Extremely fat tire bike

Need to make room for new bike, so I am parting with my custom built Fat Bastard bicycle.
22x10 ATV tires
21 speed 3x7 drivetrain with grip shift
Rear disc brake
Heavy but ridiculous and fun
This was ridden up the Manayunk wall on it's maiden voyage June 2009
Weight weenies need not respond
Includes custom fat tire surf-fishing trailer and trailer-hitch-mount platform carrier

I recall seeing something like this back in '95 or '96 when I worked at a shop in Mass.

I don't quite agree with the assertion that this like new. The Columbus decal is practically scratched off, so it either spent a lot of time hanging in a stand or the guy who built it was really careless. The hoods certainly are not CampI. Is it me or does it look big for a 54?

Yup. Even says so in ad copy:

This is an early, lugged frame, not the more common later fillet-brazed frame. Not everything is factory-original, despite the owner's surmise. It would originally have had the execrable Lambert rear derailleur (the front derailleur and shifters are original Lambert, though) and decent Lambert centerpull brakes. The right pedal is typically missing its dustcap; probably the other pedal is the same. Not really worth $250 IMO, even though I generally like these bikes. $125 would be reasonable.

Hanebrink is the most well known maker of this type of bike, been doing it since the '80s, IIRC.,

I think the Hanebrinks are all motorized these days. Yeah, pedaling those wheels would be rough!

Missed it...thought it looked like one. I'm guessing that there was some relationship between Viscount and Lambert.

That might be the one, but it looks like they trying to either ruin cycling or improve golfing.

After Lambert went belly-up, Yamaha purchased the remains and re-launched as Viscount. Eventually, production was moved from England to Japan and the last iterations of the Viscount were utterly generic Japanese production bikes: nothing wrong with them, but nothing distinctive, either.

Ha, I actually texted this joker yesterday asking about the bike.

The seller asked if I am a girl, told me it's a scam, and then said they would trade the bike for a dog.
