agreed. GB bars are pretty.

didn't notice the DOs. looked at the pics again. the DO details seems deliberately omitted—if seller knew what he was doing.
rough guessing from 4th and 7th photo, they seem stamped.
thanks for the insights.

Really an exceptional frameset.

Looks like a very reasonable pricepoint as well.

the rear of the drops are too wide to be stamped. they're forged. you can also see that they are chromed. it's pretty rare to chrome stamped drops, especially in bikes made after the 60's.

Looks like a Dawes Galaxy. 3 tubes 531, stamped drops. Price is crazy. I just bought one on ebay fully built up with nice parts for less.

Chrome forks and stays were fairly common well into the 70's.

Nice tandem, RVA, 400$:

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/4263296120.html

If you're not familiar with Miyata bikes they're a Japanese company known for making high end touring bikes. I bought this bike a couple years ago so my wife and I could ride together. It's a lot fun but we just don't have the time to ride anymore. The bike is in great condition. It has new tubes and tires and is ready to ride. I'm not sure how old the bike is in that I also bought it used. The person I bought it from rode it a little with his daughter then put it in storage so the bike doesn't have a lot of miles on it.

Shifters: Shimano Deore

Frame: Steel, TT height is 30inches for the captain, 28 for the stroker. TT length is 22 for the captain.

I can possibly help with delivery after payment if you live within the greater Richmond area.

Interesting. Lippy track bike. It's priced very high (too high I think), but kinda innaresting to look at. It won't go locally on craigslist at that $1000 price point, I think.

https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/4263383386.html

This is a beautiful custom made, steel and lugged track bike. Lippy bikes, made by Keith Lippy, a frame builder for Masi are rare and well-built. Parts include Campy seat post, Campy Record hi-flange front hub, Sugino Mighty Competition crank set, Suntour Superbe hi-flange rear hub, custom built Mavic Open Pro wheels (never gone out of true), Cinelli stem, MKS Royal Nuevo pedals, Surly cog, green Brooks saddle, Chris King headset and a Shimano front break. Can't remember what bottom bracket I used, but I know it's a good one! 48 cm. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I've loved this bike for a long time, as I'm sure you will. Make an offer. Cheers!

Vintage Wisconsin iron -

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trek-520-Cir...item417ae6f25c

[h=1]Trek 520 Cirrus Frame and Fork 47cm Reynolds 531 Lugged Steel Grey Metallic[/h]
Item location: Covington, Virginia, United States

FREE Standard Shipping

Here is a classic Trek 520 "Cirrus" frame made in the Waterloo Wisconsin facility in 1987. This is a touring frame with relaxed geometery, longer wheelbase, extra braze-ons, and cantilever brake bosses. The lugs have the Trek name cast in, and the tubes are Reynolds 531. I used this frame with 700x35 tires AND fenders, no problem. You could fit 27" wheels, or larger 700c wheels without fenders. The fork on the frame in the pictures is a replacement chromed Tange fork almost identical to the original except for the finish; the original fork's cantilever brake bosses broke but is otherwise in good usable condition. Both forks are included in this sale. The original paint is a metallic grey that is almost three-dimensional and sparkles and glitters iridescent in the sunlight. There are the chips and scratches that show this frame's use, and some surface rust in them, but the frame is solid and straight and ready for thousands more miles. The headbadge came off during cleaning (it is only glued on), it will be included in the sale.

Seat Tube: 47cm c-c
Top Tube: 53.5cm c-c
Wheelbase: 1005cm c-c
Wheel Size: 700c
Rear Spacing: 126mm
Seatpost diameter: 26.8mm
Bottom Bracket: 68mm English/ISO threading

What you see in the pictures is what you get. Shipping in the Continental USA is included in the sale price.

I am a private seller, selling some of my personal belongings. I AM NOT A BUSINESS. I typically check messages at least twice a day, if you have questions please be patient.

The perfect bike for the Jolly Green Giant. If it was local I would be looking at it but the green tires got to go.

[h=2]1972 Nishiki Safari Touring Bike (Milwaukie)[/h]

Hello All,

I am considering selling my 1972 American Eagle Nishiki Safari. The bike is all original with exception to seat, seat post, and front derailleur. I have all the original accessories: front and rear bags, front and rear racks, front and rear lights, generator, frame pump, and water bottle. All in good condition.

Send me an email to see the bike, or talk about price or trades. Not looking to get some insane amount of cash, just want to make sure the bike ends up with the right buyer.

This has been sitting on Denver CL for a couple of weeks now, owner might be willing to take a <$500 offer. Not my size though.

Eddy Merckx Road Bike - 56cm - Excellent Condition - $595 (link)

56cm Eddy Merckx Corsa road bike. This bike has been hanging on our wall in our bedroom as art because it is absolutely gorgeous! The paint and chrome are in excellent condition. It has a triple in front, 9-speed in back. All components have been updated with Ultegra. It has Mavic XP21 rims and Michelin Carbon tires. It's all tuned up and ready to ride the toughest of rides!

Another super Merckx deal in Colorado! That's probably more like a 54, though. Nice kit, and SL is a great ride. I'd guess mid 80's, and with a flat crown fork, too!

Another nice Raleigh 3-speed:

[h=2]Raleigh Sport 3speed - $200 (south hill spokane)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

This is an early 70's Raleigh that is all original including the tires. The bike has less than 100 miles on it and is in near perfect condition. This would be a great addition to a collectors stable. It would also be a fine bike for in town riding, commuting or riding our wonderful trails. These older Raleigh's were made for hard use and are virtually indestructible.
The rack shown on the rear of the bike is not included.
