No love for the 83 Trek frame I guess? Makes sense because I can't even seem to sell it locally either, even with all the fixie dudes running around here. Guess the bay is the way to go, though I hate and I mean HATE, that website. Last chance is the bike swap tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath.,,,,BD

I had a nice Prelude with Tenax tubing. I believe the Premis was one bike up in the line up.

That's a pretty nice Trek. If I were 7 feet tall...

NAH, I'm 6'1" and I could ride it with no problem, though not a lot of seatpost was showing. 6'5" is the golden ticket though.

I was thinking of redoing this bike with new different color paint, but... The frame is about 1 1/2" too small for me. The bullmoose quill is actually a little over the minimum, and I am still leaning too hard on the grips. Does anyone have this exact frame but in a larger size? Any other lugged Trek mtb frames will be acceptable as well, as long as they are from this era, 84-85ish. Let me know what you got, and I can ship the frame out after stripping it down. Paint condition is not too important, as I am thinking velocals decals on gloss black, and maybe striped lugs. Already have a set of Nice Mountechs on the way.,,,,BD

This thread has netted me an '83 520 and an '84 620 in that size and color. I should put the whole line together!

Only euro frame I have is my mother's old Atala-- my first road bike. And my son is about three years from fitting it, so I can't let it go.

PM me if you have a mysterious secret fetish for crappy and possibly oxidizing hi-ten MTB/Hybrid frames!

Wish I could get this one in a trade for it. As far as I know it's still in the bike guys' locked up booth at the flea market. Apparently his Sister is paying for the booth while he is in Boston with his sick mother. He's been gone about 3-4 years now. I took the pictures so he could sell it on craigslist, and I don't think it ever sold.,,,,BD

After lusting for a tourer I settled for one that was one size too small and thought I could make it work, but its only comfortable enough to commute to work with. Its a Univega Gran Touring, Ben Lawee Design series, Shimano Deore derailleurs, and a triple Bio-pace chainring. Its a 56cm I believe, but I will remeasure soon. I am looking for a 58cm tourer and would trade bike for bike, or just frames if it takes 27 inch wheels...

76 sprite

70s fuji is pending

I'm just looking for a mountain bike, touring bike or a hybrid. Would love another bridgestone to go with my 700 but anything works, and I will trade the sprite for a rear rack over 700c.

I'm in NJ

16" LL Bean Country Roads - Would be awesome for drop bar conversion. 54cm top tube. Parts from the Fuji can go with this one too. No seat included.

52cm ST 53cm TT Fuji Supreme - shimano 105 cassette wheels with mavic open 4 cd rims, 28 and 30c tires. Sugnio RT compact crank. Can be traded with or without the wheels, crankset and bar/stem/levers. Have the original parts, 27" rear wheel, original FD, Fuji branded crankset and RD.

I'm interested in the Fuji Supreme. Unfortunately I don't have anything to trade. I'm looking for a entry/starter bike for my son and this one looks like it would fit the need.

I have a Bertoni Corsa Mondaile that is just a bit to small for me. I am in a small riders club where everyone but me rides a vintage trek from 1984 to 1988. If anyone have a 4,5,6 or 7 serious trek bike in about the same condition as my bike please let me know what you have to offer. Its 56 cm i am Looking for 60 cm area. Bike rides great, wheels are true, gear changes are smooth, tires dont leak air. I ride this bike about 100 miles a month and it handles it fine. So please I dont want a bike that I cant ride. I live just outside of Washington DC (manassas VA).

Hey BD,

I have that same '84 Trek 830 frame hanging in the garage, what are the measurements on your 830? Mine is either the same size or the next size up, I'll measure it later today after work and let you know. I was going to do the same as you, gloss black (or possibly matte gray like the stock color on my '91 Stumpjumper Comp) with new VeloCals decals but the $40.00 decals has kept it on the hook in the garage. If it works out, no reason for you to send your frame as I have too many anyway, we can work something out, like a seatpost or some other small component in trade.

Let me know those frame specs and I'll get back to you, thanks!

Peace,

-D-

That would be outstanding! The measurements on my 830 frame----> Seat tube 55.8 (22") and Top tube 58.4(23") The length isn't the problem really, as that is about the same as most of my road bikes. It's the seat tube length. Next size up would definitely help!,,,,BD

I actually like this color family, but something more maroon, and less "strawberry", would be awesome. I should get away from black, honestly. At one point last year, I had 8 black bikes. Soma had a solid maroon color that was really nice a few years back.

Something more this tone?

Looking to trade Bianchi X4 frame to a bigger X4/specialissima, mission impossible?

Hi,

I just recently acquired celeste/chrome x4 stamped frameset in completely original condition. The only problem is that the frame is smaller than what the seller said it was supposed to be.
It is 54,5mm (actually more like 54,7mm) seat tube center-center and 55cm top tube center-center
It was supposed to be 56cm center-center.

SO: If anyone has X4 that is 56-57,5cm center-center at the seat tube and would like a smaller frame then I got one to trade.
However I am going to put it very soon on ebay as I feel like it's one in a million chance to find a direct trade...

The frame is in Finland and I can ship it pretty much anywhere in the world, as long as we have confident and reliable trade going on.

Can't blame for trying...

Thanks!

Any news on the 830 frame size? Not rushing you, but I've had this bike like 4-5 years now, and it's been too small since the day I bought it.,,,,BD

Sorry Bikedued, our 830 frames are the exact same size. That's too bad, I was thinking mine was taller than 22", it would have been nice to find that frame a new home.

Good luck!

have: 55cm De Rosa Professional (?). c. ~1985. She is a rider - scratches and light rust in various places. all the top tube cable guides in tact. believed to be a custom order with no chrome.

Looking for: I lust over 55-56cm (top tube) steel Land Sharks with crazy paint.

EDIT: de rosa no longer available.

I've finally come to terms that my Bianchi Rekord 920 is simply too small for me. It measures 60cm ST C-C. Top tube C-C is 57.5cm.

i'm a giant and need a 63cm. Spent awhile searching locally for something like this and bought it thinking I could make it work. Am quite keane on a similar Bianchi in 63cm. But I like anything Italian.
