No. the boot is there for scale. This one was dead, and is the largest I've seen in these parts. In southern Belize this size is common.

Yes and yes.

The smallest he caught today was 35" and the largest was 47".

Beautiful, tasty fish.

Especially if you know how to filet out the Y bones.
