Anyone riding the 200 mile Seattle to Portland ride this weekend?
Hello all,
The bike is lubed and the kit is washed and I rested this week to prepare for this weekends 200 mile/2-day organized ride from Seattle to Portland. I completed the ride last year with three other "newbie" riders. This year its just me and the trusty Roubaix. Ive been riding fairly steadily for the year since my last crack at it. My hope is to finish well within time this year. Last year we rolled in as they were literally taking down the "Finish" poster on the second day.
Not lost as much weight as I wanted to during the year but I am proud of myself for still "getting out there" at least three times a week. I feel good except for my allergies playing up this week. A late appearance of the sun has kicked up the pollen that should have been kicked up in May.
Anyways...see you all in 200 miles

That's awesome!
I'm not doing the STP this year. I got the keys to my new apartment ( in Ballard, on the water near the Locks ) three days ago, and I'll be moving over the weekend, carrying boxes of hard cover books while you do your back-to-back double century. I envy you.
