Whats the 41?
At time my smarta$$ comments border on snide when they do call me out. I generally mean no harm but usually I'm pointing out something that irk's me.. to call it fair I'll post up all my rides right now. By this time next week I'll have added a couple mountain bikes..

Anyway, your bikes are all Hot in their own way. I'm trying to come up with a smarta$$ criticism, but find myself more jealous than anything!

It's the Road Cycling forum. Those guys are, shall we say, a bit detached from reality. Sometimes it's fun.
I didn't start this thread, so it may be a bit presumptuous of me to say so, but I find comments of that nature to be critical to the success of a thread like this. If people start taking themselves seriously it ruins everything. tjspiel set a great tone with his opening bike.
I'm going to say two nots and a hot here, though I'm not entirely decided which is which.
The angle of all of the saddles bugs me.
I've got to knock points off the Earl because of the road pedals on a CX bike. I also don't like the minimalist bar tape. The stickers and top tube tape give it a sort of street appeal, but the Brooks saddle works against that. The bend of the seat post also seems vaguely wrong.
The Colnago is nice, but it's got too much saddle to bar drop for my tastes. Also, the wheels appear to be the wrong vintage for the rest of the components (with the possible exception of the shifters). The stem is too long, and I don't like the red bar tape. The seat post seems wrong for that frame and the saddle looks like it could break off at any moment. That frame is definitely hot.
The Serotta's nice, probably my favorite of the bunch. You lose points for the NDS picture. Again, the stem is too long and I don't like the bar tape. The little splashes of red are a nice touch. The front fender is too short. And is that a seat bag of do you just have a tube strapped to your saddle?

No wonder it's hot. I don't think I've seen a Sixty Fiver bike I didn't like.

Every component on the Colnago is the wrong vintage, notice the decidedly non-Colnago paint? That's because it had it powdered flat black. Italian bikes particularly Colnagos are built around a long stem look at pic's of Colnagos on the net you'll see.
The Serotta has brooks bar tape not minimalist, my excuse for the NDS is I was at a biergarten, and I ride tubulars and that is a tire. The stem is actually only 120 so thats a camera angle thing and the fenders are a nice belgian set that will fit in the Ouzo, but yes they could be markedly longer thy don't keep your toes dry but they do keep that water out of your face.
**edit** Brooks saddles always end up nose up it just sorta is.

If this thread is going to be successful we need to be at least as harsh as the people on the 41. I expect we'll have different, sometimes opposite, standards (for instance, I'd definitely deduct points for a slammed stem), but the tone ought to be about the same...maybe without the people who get bent out of shape to hear that their bike isn't hot.

I originally posted one of my commuters knowing I would get ribbed over that seat post rack...it's OK! I even agree and it's all in the fun of it.

Otherwise, I guess my tastes are too provincial for your bikes. The fact that I like groovestew's Raleigh better than your Colnago probably indicates the value or lack thereof of my opinion.

Yeah, the thing is it's really hard to find good fenders for skinny-ish 26 inch tires. I definitely agree though, the fenders on this bike are ugly.

it takes 10 seconds to fix..spacers (washer/small socket) and a longer bolt from chain stay to fender. Lock the bottom riser on the front them pull up on riser two will push the front down and give you a real fender line..it's not hard you just gotta try.

My fenders are SKS P50, which they used to claim worked with either 26" or 700c tires. In my experience they have problems with either one. The curve doesn't match the tire. I could probably get it a bit closer.

*A lot* of the shot has to do with the staging - drive side only, valve stems positioned evenly, not too busy of a background, quality of photo, etc. Don't just lean it up against any old thing or stand 30 feet back and take a random shot. Some luke warms can be saved with a great picture.

The green wheel's gotta go
the Vetta is too far forward, if you need it that far forward to fit use a zero setback post while ugly in their own right it won't be noticeable with the limp rucksack you have under the saddle.
