Headset Question

I just bought a 2000 Bianchi Axis and need to have the headset replaced and the front fork installed. I'm planning on having my shop install the fork, headset, and bottom bracket. It has a 1 1/8 threadless headset. What is a good moderatly priced headset? What will I need to buy other than the headset to mount the fork? What about the FSA CX? Is the 1 1/8 measurment the only siging info I need to order? Thanks you your help!

I don't have any experience with the FSA CX headset, but I like the integrated brake hanger.

I bought a Cane Creek S3 headset based on reading many positive reviews. I haven't put enough miles on it to say much first hand about it either. I haven't had any problems with it, but then again, I haven't had any problems with headsets on my other bikes either.

Thanks for the advice. I ordered the Cane Creek S3 headset. Will it ship with all bearings and races needed for the fork install?

Yeah, it comes with all the bearings and races. It also includes a number of spacers, though depending on your set up you could need a few more of those. You will also probably need a front brake cable hanger like this:
