Maybe the Copie guys spent too much time debugging their product. Here's a Chinese knockoff already, at apparently one third their price.
Very low power, but might be fun if it's a real product.

There was at least one similar wheel at Interbike, similarly low-priced, but not as inexpensive as the one above. Agree, DW, they may have waited too long.

To be fair, the Copenhagen wheel is a rear wheel drive motor and it's less harder on the bike than a front wheel drive. Also, the battery is stronger than the Imotor. (but not much stronger)
However, I like the design of this new "Imotor" intelligent wheel. First, the battery is removable allowing you to charge at work and not being forced to leave it outside in the cold, rain or snow. Second, the batteries aren't physically inside the wheel (like Copenhagen) so you don't have to waste energy rotating them with every pedal stroke. Also, you can recharge your Iphone while on the bike. Important since this is your controller!
I can't believe this wheel is selling for $320.00 USD! I still wouldn't buy one because it's new and I'm sure there are bugs in software or hardware. Still, it looks bad for the Copenhagen wheel.
