Bucket List Ride Day 6 of 7
Day 6 in the books! Linville to the Arboretum west of Asheville-80.5 miles and 7800' of climbing. Today included a stop at Little Switzerland. Perfect day to ride the BRP up to Mt Mitchell and down the other side. I enjoyed that section a lot more than the many times I've ridden it on the Assault.
A number of other cyclists were riding up from both the Marion and Asheville directions.
My wife's sister is graciously hosting us at her house tonight. My wife and she are out buying steaks to grill for us.
Tomorrow is the final leg to Cherokee. A little less than 80 miles but major, major climbing. It will be a big test both physically and mentally.
409 miles so far. About 77 miles tomorrow but over 10,000' of climbing.

You guys are biking machines! I would be two days on the next leg without a doubt. All the climbing as well as the tunnels make this quite a feat in one day. Very impressive and inspirational ride.
