Just back from a 52 mile ride, a tradition I started LAST year when I turned 50, so I did a 50 mile. So I overshot a bit today!

Did another 35 miles at the MUP today in some nice Florida weather. Just wish it wasn't so windy.

It was Nice, but indeed VERY windy here in Tampa Bay, I did most of my ride on the Pinellas Trail, here is a pic shot Downtown Clearwater. That part of the trail is a PITA! Stop-sign at EVERY corner, and when they don't, the trail to road interfaces are HARSH...at least I didn't break a spoke there this time....slow and easy on those things.

Had a brisk 11 mile round trip to my gym where I was doing interval training on a spin bike for an hour with a great instructor.
Got three days of riding ahead though - although I scheduled an income tax appointment for early March - might as well get double root canals

32 degF, 1/2in of snow, moderate head winds, made a fairly quiet commute this morning. It was peaceful not hearing the sizzling of the studs on the pavement. It definitely was slower gliding along in the fresh coating of snow and took about 1 hour 15min. to arrive at the office averaging 10mph. Not the most pleasant trip but not that bad either.

Ah RubberLegs, my wife and I enjoy the Pinellas Trail a couple of times a year. We take the motorhome and camp at Sherwood Forest in Palm Harbor. From there you can ride the entire trail, shop and never have to move the MH during our stay. A side trip to Honeymoon Island is also great and last year we visited Winter in Clearwater. We usually travel down from the Ocala area in March and upon our return to FL in the fall. Looking forward to riding the trail in a few weeks. I find the real PITA of the Pinellas ALL the bridges but that's just me.

Today was a little behind for us. The weather around north central Florida has gotten a little too cool and too windy for my taste. After a wonderful 32 mile run on the Withlacoochee yesterday the most I could manage was 15 today. I was able to do a bike cleaning upon returning home so the day wasn't a total bummer. I am a little concerned about tomorrow however. It's the start of the "Strawberry Festival" in Floral City and we usually ride to the fair from Inverness. oh well

Dang !!!

Just started really in October. Got home early and rode up the hill to Auburn, CA. 18 miles RT and 1,300 feet. I can feel it. Easier every time and I'm still losing weight.

You are all inspirational. Keep going !!!

40 miles on the local MUP (W&OD Trail). Cool/cold, depending on what you're used to (43F/6C), with a headwind that turned into a nice tailwind when I got to the turnaround point.

34 miles on Trek DS 8.6 in Santa Anna conditions. 80f, gusting to 18mph mid-day, very low humidity and dirty air.
Took an inexpensive lunch break of steamed vegetables/rice for 30 minutes mid-ride. Then as I turn to head home the wind shifts and its hitting me at a 45degree angle.
Riding time almost 4 hours. LOL
Think we need a forest fire to get some soot in the air... That'll happen in September.

Life is good on a bicycle.

Another sleepless night, this time, thanks to the dog. Unusually cool temps for this time of year (low 50's) and along with it came some 20 mph winds. No regular MUP ride today, but I may get on the hybrid and do around 10 miles in the neighborhood later this afternoon.

Been out with bad lungs for a while, got to speed up for Tour of Flanders sportive 30. of march. Good slow ride today, 50 miles and nice weather well above freezing. Tiny specks are XC skiers.

35 miles this afternoon. I was going to make it more, but it was colder and windier than forecast and I had a bunch of errands to do. Aiming for 40~45+ miles tomorrow, Sunday.

Freezing (32F) today but dry with clear roads: 11 miles. Might be a bit warmer with some sun tomorrow!

In an act of total desperation and suffering from acute cabin fever I got out today and put in 22 miles in 36F weather. The leg out was not bad but about 2 miles after the turn around I started getting cold and the rest of the way back to the truck was just grinding it out and wishing I was warm again.

Sun was suppose to be out after noon today but came out a little early. Went to the MUP and didn't get more than 1/2 mile before the sun went away and pretty much stayed away. Got in one 19 mile lap and was going to do the second, but the winds just kept picking up. Cool temps in the 50's and 18-20 mph winds is a bit too much for this Florida boy, especially when thinking the sun was going to stay out and showed up a little underdressed.

Have had the itch to get off the trainer and outside and finally had some temps in the 50-60's. Got out both yesterday and today but the winds were tough. Wunderground says my westbound leg was into a 25 mph headwind with gusts to 35. Felt like it. Riding back was fun though.

Had to keep reminding myself that the wind is my friend when training.

10 miles indoors, may be outdoors by Saturday. If the 3-5 inches of snow slated for Tuesday doesn't come, or melts off the roads by then.

24.17 miles on a nice recreational ride with the wife, finally a "outdoor ride", even though it was lot's of high clouds it was still 50F so we headed out on our favorite combo of back streets and MUP/trail with a lunch stop in between, sweet!

I had a great ride today with my youngest daughter, it was half street and half dirt. We both did real well for a total of eight miles and a little over an hour seat time. A nice day for a ride here in Philadelphia even if it was a little brisk. Carried the bikes through some downed trees in Pennypack Park(courtesy of Hurricane Sandy)than walked them through a small run and back to civilization. All in all a good morning workout.
