First ride (outdoors) in a month. Approx 40F today with light rain (and snow on the ground). All of 13 miles - but it still felt good to be back on the road. Tried out the new Craft lobster gloves I received for Christmas. Love them!

I'm guessing this one doesn't make your bucket list

From today's ride. The background is a local steel company's "back yard." I rode about 28 miles today; this was on the way home in an industrial district I frequently cut through. Usually very light traffic so it's a good bike route. Beautiful weather today though - got up into the 60s and I even had a rare tailwind for the ride home.

I put in 18 miles just cruising around town. I'm loving this unseasonably warm weather but the nicest days always seem to fall on my work days. Lucked out yesterday and am hoping for the same today. Sounds like next week it's back in the freeze box with expected highs below zero F.

Work interrupted today's ride. Shortened it to 88 miles to make some phone calls. 17 mph with 4400' of climbing. Big temperature change, kept un layering! First week without a century this year.

Rode the regular 25.1 miles this afternoon. Southwest winds were 20mph steady, with gusts to 35mph, made the return and cross wind legs interesting. Going out was fun though.

Did a 55 mile ride from home down to DC and then took the Mount Vernon Trail out to Mt. Vernon, and back. Weather in the mid-40s which was really pleasant. The trail is in horrible condition though. I've ridden on some gravel roads that were in better shape.

26+ miles this afternoon, winds reversed to the north after the front passed through, still very gusty.

The Celebration Marathon on Sunday totaled me out at 106 miles of pavement pounding for the month of January and 71 miles on the bike today has me at 200 miles for the month so far. Still have Thursday and Saturday to add to my bicycling mile total for the month. Swimming tomorrow and Friday starts my Ironman training for this year.

Rode to work today; 57 Deg.F to start, probably be lots warmer on the ride home later today. If I stay on my current pace I'll have my first ever 1,000 mile January!

Only 20+ miles this afternoon, had to start late due to picking up Monica at the airport. It was way too nice a day to give up riding, clear, sunny skies and mild temps.

28° starting temp but trying to ride daily. Just short of 10mi today. Getting my legs back, only a little different on the trike. Frost on the ground but tropical weather compared to back east, can't complain. We need snow in the mountains but have none. Gonna be a dry summer.

Still dealing with DVT (blood clots legs)—these health issue are seriously interfering with my life style. VA has been very good to me.

Rode into work this morning, 60 Deg.F when I left the house. Roads were wet from over-night rain but I didn't actually get rained on. Nice ride, actually. Should be lots warmer but maybe still overcast on the ride home this evening.

Rode 30 miles last night. Roads were a little damp. As I was getting ready and in the car it started sleeting a touch. Weird.

12 miles, but that was enough. The wind was insane, and even a little dangerous. I had trouble keeping the bike on the road in some places. I was planning to do hill repeats, but I quit after one "peat".
