The whole week looks to be fantastic. I decided to take a week of vacation

Did a 51 mile followup ride on Sunday, up to the parkway, and down Irish Creek Valley (woo hoo!), over to Lexington, and back to Buena Vista. Going for a hike today. My butt needs a day off.

15 mile slow group ride Monday. Took the long way via the river bike path to the VA and back 20 miles. Short sidewalk ride thru the heaviest traffic. Sparks is bicycle friendly but parts of Reno, not so much. VA took blood to see if I'm still alive n' kickin', er pedaling.

2015: 1484 Miles Weekly Avg: 107
Since 2013: 6,158 Miles – Wk Avg: 112

35 very windy miles this morning. Was suppose to be a recovery ride for the MS 150 I did this weekend. I think I struggled more on this ride than I did on the whole MS ride.

18 miles today in strong wind. My wife who just started biking is getting better every day. I look back to see where she is and she is right behind me most of the time. It's great riding with her.

I took a "recovery" day by doing a short hike in Shenandoah NP on Monday. I'm having trouble getting used to a new saddle, and I was hurting where I shouldn't hurt after two hard rides over the weekend.

Tuesday I did 65 miles with 6K of climbing from Front Royal on skyline drive for 30 miles, then down to Sperryville on 211, and back via some very pretty piedmont roads through the beautiful town of little Washington, VA. Legs felt pretty good, but my butt just wasn't having it. Very sore on the sit bones this morning.

Looks like I'm going to have to swap the old saddle back to see if that helps. This is so frustrating to have my performance limited by my stupid ass

Another very windy day for a 45 mile ride. The last four miles were brutal. Not exactly what the Weather Chanel predicted.

Try Weather Underground (wunderground.com). A lot more accurate (if not 100%) than The Weather Channel.

15.5 miles on the upright (Sirrus) today before the rains set in. Looks like an off day tomorrow, rain & wind predicted.

I had the urge to exercise once. I laid down for a while and it went away.

Today just like yesterday except genuinely hot-for-early-May but not humid so I'm not complaining.

I took the MTB out for a 20 mile ride. It rides really nice but compared to my Emonda... it's tank. Average speed was down but calories was about the same.

Yes I did ride today, my commute as usual. Since Saturday morning I have now ridden 210 miles. I am exhausted. Tomorrow I shall ride the Centurion and not hammer quite so hard.

22 miles on the gravel. Got a flat. On the front tire? OK, fine.

Then dropped a chain, which somehow managed to munge up the rear derailleur. The chain keeps slipping off the jockey wheel into the jockey cage, so I couldn't even pedal the bike in one gear.

Four miles from the start, I was walking. Fortunately it was mostly downhill.

35 moderately paced miles this morning. Not as windy as it's been the past week so it made the ride enjoyable.

The same 18 with my wife. I'm negotiating on a home we hope to buy and things have gotten stressful. Riding today at times, I just hammered it, the magic happened as I worked out some the issues as I rode and the issues over the negotiations became manageable. I love biking in 70 degree weather.

59 miles, 6K of climbing on the BRP near Roanoke, plus a ride down to the city and back up to Mill Mountain. This ride includes the climb up past Roanoke Mountain. Put my old saddle back, and felt better for the first 30 miles or so, but I was hurting pretty bad after that. Still maybe that counts as progress.

Did a whole .9 mile yesterday before the weather turned - so did I. Took the trike back out today for a cool 10 miles. Still a bit windy and rainy. Clear but windy tomorrow.

40 miles on the medium route of a club ride today. Pretty flat NE of Indy.
Tailwind on much of the first half of the ride. No wonder I averaged 17mph on that stretch, fast by my standards.
You can't see the headwind in this image of the ride back in.
