Bike-pathin' it 33 miles into the insane wind. Actually half into the wind, and the last half coasting back. Nice!

First century of the year on Saturday. I expect to die.

You won't, but do be careful!

Today was another commute:

Got my 30 yesterday in another hellwind. First time I've actually cussed the entire ride and started to consider things like....getting a ride home...selling all the bikes.... Who invented this roadbike thing that makes you think your really fast and strong when you're really not.
Feh !

So that was yesterday and today I'm planning to drive up to a bike shop to look at Kona product. Seems I'm in a do-dependant relationship with a thing that passive-aggressively manipulates me into loving it.

47 years old and I haven't learned a damn thing.

17 miles with my wife today. 5-10 miles an hour winds coming off the ocean. My wife , a former field hockey player, just starting to ride and she is getting better every day.

Rained out yesterday but I had an excellent 45 miles this morning. Not much wind today so it was a bit hotter and muggy ride.

Kind of a whacky ride this morning. Was hoping to do 45 miles but with all that happened, I ended up with 26 instead. Unexpected high winds made the decision to cut it short a litter easier.

Wind gusts between 20-25 mph during my 45 mile ride this morning. Only had about 6 miles of tailwinds. Time for a beer!

Awesome 42-mile Roswell Mayors Ride which I confess is my second organized ride, ever. Perfect weather, and a great ride once away from the great mass of riders. For once I just rode - no strava, no goal, just riding.

48 miles today on a club ride starting and ending in Greencastle, IN. Lots of small to medium hills and lots of flat, too. Very nice.
General store in Amo, IN.

My favorite stoker guarding the Screamer in Amo.

Yesterday, 54.8 miles with friends on the CCRT Dennis to Wellfleet and beyond! We rode the tandem of course.

A run over to the Atlantic just to make sure it was still there. Calm today:

Today we did a recovery ride locally, only 24.8 miles. Concord Center:

Cut Saturday's century ride short at 54 miles. Cold and steady rain, and it was starting to come down harder. Still haven't done a 100+ mile ride this year.

Mileage has been down this year due to poor road conditions but it is slowly ramping up. Yesterday's club ride came to 38 miles and for some reason even though the area is usually very flat, a bunch of hills have materialized over the winter months. As i began to faulter near the end I was saved by a pastry with lots of pecans and decent coffee at the coffee shop next to Gray's Grist mill in Adamsville. I really needed such high octane to power the long climb out of that community.

Another very windy day but not quite as bad as yesterday. 35 miles and did a PB for this route. If there's going to be a lot of wind on this weekends MS150, I'm ready for it.

Did a 17 mile group ride yesterday up a couple of steep hills. 30mph coming down the other side, with cross traffic at the bottom. Good brakes.

18 bike miles this morning, a little cool at 9AM, long pants and jacket, but this afternoon was so nice (72°) I took the trike out for another 10 miles in shorts & T-shirt. Perfidiously Pooped Pedaling Puppy - with a big on my tired face.
