Vintage Moulton folding bicycle - please help
Hi everyone. I'm looking for information on a vintage Moulton folding bicycle (circa 1970s). I am not familiar with these bikes and a friend of a friend (Andrew) thought this forum might be helpful. I am looking for the bike's history, and since I am considering selling the bike, I am seeking a fair asking price.
There are images attached to this thread. Thank you all in advance for any information!

Very nice bike!
That's a Mark 3 Moulton "F-frame", and it is the non-separable (and non-folding) version. The mark 3 was the best of the F-frame models in many ways - much stronger than the Mk1, and lighter than the Mk2. Aesthetically, I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder..
For people looking to modify an F-frame to make a performance bike, the Mk3 may be the most desirable model to go for.
Value - not sure. Are you in the UK, USA...? Your best bet might be selling it on eBay (week auction). Restrict it to local pick-up only, unless you really want to deal with packaging it up and posting it.

Raleigh20 PugFixie, Merc
user Sesamecrunch in these here pages recently restored one with some modern modifications.
MkIIIs were built by Raleigh under the Moulton name, so quality of some welds is a little less careful. Shares a lot of parts with other Raleighs of the time which makes finding spares easier though.

Nice looking bike. Vintage Moultons are in very high demand in Japan and getting big bucks. You can list it on eBay and find buyers. In the US, I've seen them go for $400 - $800 depending on condition, of course.
Or, you could just ride it yourself. It's a great piece of bike legend.

Wow that bike would go for alot more (twice as much as ebay at least) in Japan. Vintag bikes are booming now. I would see if you can find a way to sell it worldwide since it is rare.
