...or more realistically, bike upgrades in general. I truly do deserve my name, haha. I installed a comfy B17 and got those Deep Design platform pedals from Thor. I kinda took a leap of faith on the pedals since there are virtually no reviews on them online, but I've got to say, I'm very happy with them. They're unbelievably small (narrow) so there is no need to mess with folding pedals; a real time saver. They're very grippy and efficient compared to those slippery folding Suntour pedals, and rather stylish too, I might add. Just 220 grams for the pair! Not really sure where else I can upgrade, since everything else is of adequate quality. Will switch to some Durano tires someday, I suppose.

Ah nice to see you got upgrade the stock saddle. The stock saddle complete destroyed my ass before I upgrade them to brooks few days after. Also, those pedals, Is it worth replacing that since you lose the foldabilty? I was thinking of going to MKS FD-7

I think it's worth it. While folded, you only gain about an inch on one side, since the other pedal still doesn't go past the handlepost on the other side. You save time and energy by not having to worry about folding the pedals, and they just look way cooler than any folding pedals out there, haha. Also, I cut my hand when I unfolded the Suntour ones because of the spring in it. No longer a problem.

Thanks! The Brooks saddle is so much better than the stock saddle. Even on my first lengthy ride without proofide, it was already much more comfortable. Really happy with that purchase.

@FoldingLawrence - I thought about the grip change, but so far, nothing has really come across are so stylish that I must have them, haha.

@ rykenden - It's supposed to help you break in your Brooks. Personally, I think it's a ploy for Brooks to get more money out of you, so I'm just going to break my leather in the old fashion way; by using it.

Proofide: Its basically same as Dubbin. Tallow & beeswax plus a few other odds & ends.

Today my MKS FD-7 arrived. I was able to loosen the right pedal but the left pedal..... OMFG got my hand all red and still won't loosen. Gonna bring the bike to LBS tomorrow and pictures aftermath.

You do know the left hand pedal is 'left hand thread' .. meaning, you loosen in a clockwise direction and tighten in a counter-clockwise direction.. just opposite the right side pedal ..

yeah still won't budge. I used a lot of energy removing the pedal, leaving a few big scratches baby. Its clear to get professional help before I destroy the crank.

The bike shop only took few minutes with the right tools. Here's the slick pedals. Somehow somewhere a voice is telling me to upgrade more stuff.

Awwww yeah. looks good. The only things I would upgrade on my link uno after the saddle and pedals would be the seatpost, tires, and grips, but that would be overboard at this point since it's so early.

Haha, actually, I still love folding bikes. I actually would have traded it in for a Mu Uno if someone was willing. But the thing is I already have a Brompton and a Speed P8, and since I just bought myself a Sputnik fixie too, I have very little need for a 1 speed now. The thing about the Mu Uno is that it was 3 lbs lighter, so I would have considered one anyways despite not really needing it.
