Way to go.
I remember my first ride in a couple decades - a whopping 2.5 miles and I was wiped out. What a great feeling it was when I hit 25km!Today I rode 104 miles. Your gola may or may not be that distance but going further than you have before is a feeling that can't be duplicated - only appreciated.

I've been back in the saddle since 1998 - and I can still remember when a 5 miler (8k) kicked my ass.
Congrats on the milestone, and here's to many more to come!

BTW, you mention that your knees hurt...
They really shouldn't. What is your cadence like? It should be around 90 - which to new folks often feels oddly fast.

Congrats! 25k doesn't seem like a long distance when we all drive cars, but on a bike that's well over an hour of pedaling! Great job! But I do worry when you say your knees hurt. I have old knees and I worry when I start having knee pain. Perhaps your bike needs a bit of adjustment size adjustment (seat and stem)? Poor fit can lead to aches and pains.

Well I think im sitting too low but if I raise the seat I cant touch the ground with my feet and have to bend over further to reach the bars. It is my first bike and it is a little too big, also I have 1 leg that is turned out a bit so I have to pedal with my right heel more often than not

A seat too low will definitely cause knee problems. With proper fit, you won't be able to touch the ground will sitting on your seat. A shorter stem at a taller angle will help keep the upright riding position. It takes a while to get used to riding hunched over. More riding will help build the muscles. I can ride for longer stretches in the drops but at one time, it was uncomfortable.

Your knees shouldn't hurt if your bike is fitted properly. Check the saddle height and fore/aft position.
