Cheap eBay bibs/jerseys
I'm looking around at bibs and jerseys and seeing the various Castelli, Pearl Izumi and so forth ones out there that range from being inexpensive to "is that price for just one or a week's worth?". I'm also seeing a ton of bibs, shorts and jerseys on eBay (new) and several combos of various cycling teams or sponsors and such for crazy low pricing. These are all coming from Hong Kong so I don't expect them to be Castelli stuff but cheap knock-offs or maybe they're even made at the same factories as the big boys by the same people...who knows.
Has anyone ever bought these items before? If so, any comments on the quality/comfort of namely the bibs? I don't expect them to be the most incredible chamois or a tailored fit, but I don't imagine they're totally unwearable or will come apart at the seams after a couple months...right? To a certain point, ALL bibs/shorts are exactly the same: they're spandex that fits snugly over your legs with some sort of chamois...but then the Castelli's and such out there tailor them or maybe use a bit higher quality material and superior chamois...but is that difference night and day between their "entry-level" bibs/sorts and their top of the line? Is the difference between their entry-level and these cheap China kits night and day? I really don't know...I'm pretty curious...
I still think I'm going to buy a pair of "entry-level" Castelli bibs but I'm seriously tempted to try these cheap kits from China as the price of a bib/jersey kit is in most cases the price of a Castelli or Pearl Izumi jersey on sale. Your feedback in greatly appreciated!!

I wouldn't trust them with a credit card number, but if you can go through paypal it ought to be safe. There was a thread in which these were mentioned a few weeks ago. As I recall, one person thought they weren't bad but another had little good to say. I just bought I pair of Tenn shorts from the UK at a very economical price. I like my Castelli's better, but these were very good value. About $26 w/ no shipping charge.

I ve bought some knock-off "under armor cold gear shirts" off ebay and they were just fine, but I the bibs and jerseys ive seen looked pretty cheap. I have a few pairs of bibs I got from nashbar that I like alot and only paid like $40 each. Cavalo, italico/dna, and exustar. NOT NASHBAR BRAND!! although the nashbar mansfield insulated pants are pretty nice.

I think I still may buy a name-brand pair of bibs (possibly from Nashbar, thx for the recommendation @catonec) but since I'm also looking for a new jersey I'm going to buy one of those jersey/bib kits from eBay for $45 with free shipping and give it a shot. I don't find jerseys to be all that technical or haven't really seen anything in a $100 jersey that a $30 jersey doesn't have and they both feel the same...so we'll give the cheap China combo a shot for the jersey and maybe I'll end up getting a decent 2nd pair of bibs to throw into the mix. Why not, right?
