Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Capo or Castelli, preferences?

I have several pairs of Capo and Castelli shorts. I far prefer the Castelli ones but I think they're at a higher price point than my Capo's.

I'm getting new jerseys and Capo and Castelli are on my radar. I have a few Castelli jerseys but it's hard to find them in 3XL (I usually wear an L but Castelli runs damn small). How are Capo jerseys?

Bikes: Now I Got Two

Trash the Castelli and spend more for the upper end of the Capo line.

Never tried castelli but I LOVE my capo stuff. That said, I haven't ordered anything not twin six in a couple years.

I have several sets of capo jersey's and bibs. From the cheaper end which I use on shorter rides, to the higher end which is better for long distance comfort (and more tight fitting, just FYI). The stuff has been very durable, and a good value, especially if on sale.

But, I started buying fatcyclist kits a few year ago, and now have several twin six kits, and I think you get a little more for your money that way, and can have a little humor in your kit. But I still wear the capo stuff often, I like having options.

I have two capo jersies I really like. I haven't bothered with the Castelli (even though my last name is only one letter off!) as I've heard they run ridiculously small. I haven't got the budget to buy and return and buy and return to figure out what size I wear with them. screw it, will just get another Capo or twin six (though I find the twin six sleeves a little too short for my tan lines...)

If you buy it and return it you're out zero dollars

Arts Cyclery does free shipping at $50 and they give you a prepaid label to return anything you don't like.
