10/17 - 15.2 miles
Far west Joliet / Shorewood area under overcast skies. Some sprinkles on way back. Was gonna drop a little south of US-52 but wanted to get back before it rained which it really didn't. Over 102 miles for the week.

I'll let you know. Right now I'm battling lack of hydration stomach problems, and I think I may have slightly pulled a guad. I wanted to go to Rays too, but we'll see how I feel tomorrow.

35 miles on the old Cannondale today. I saw a bunch of people out today, more than I'd normally see on a hot Sunday.

::EDIT:: I saw some of *motion* Snakebite Scott's buddies too.

10/19- 32 miles. Heard a loud POP!.... it was a spoke. So no road bike till that gets taken care of.
And mitch, I tried getting a hold of you today, but it just went straight to voicemail.

Really? I was thinking of going out today, but Findley has always dried slower than everywhere else. Call me up next time you want to go and I'll show you how to make that trail your *****.

And Scott, my phone is a POS and always turns off.

It was nice. Just a tad tacky with no dust. The trail was a bit of a guessing game though with all of the leaf coverage on the ground. We saw maybe 6 other guys out there the whole day.

Ugh.

Spent the week in Vegas....doing what you do in Vegas....not working out at all.

Then on Saturday rode a slow version of the weekly ride out of Village Pedaler and spent about an hour or so practicing dismounting and remounting for cyclocross. No idea how far. Not really carrying my computer much lately. I recorded it, but haven't gotten around to uploading anything for a while.

Today was the day. First cross race. Holy crap that's hard. There was blood. No yelling though....well not much yelling. Only good yelling as well. 40th out of 67 or so who finished. Not sure they got that right, but WTF...I figure I'll start caring when I am actually out to do well.

Our own Mr. Jeff B did very well. MJH2 got somewhere like 28. Nice Supergirl was back and I got a picture of her lounging around as her alter ego.

Lots of pics, lots of fun, I'll see what I can post over on my blog and/or in a thread on here.

10/19 - I had a great time out at Palos. The bike I was on had no cyclocomputer, so I'm estimating that I got somewhere between 18-20 miles of singletrack goodness.

10/19 - 31.7 miles
Rode to Dollinger Family Farm near Channahon. Fairly crowded today (Civil War Reenactment). Bit windy today other a good ride. Most of my rides from now til the snow comes will be in the 12 - 20 mile range with maybe another 30 miler day or two yet.

I went out to Findley today. I wanted to do 2-3 laps, but only managed one because of my groin or whatever is ailing me.
