I rode my hybrid 60km's up Gorge Road through Chain of Ponds then up Checker Hill for stage 1 of the Tour Down Under. It was great a constant flow of bikes the whole way to watch the tour, bicycles owned the road.
I've already heard so much talk from interstate tourists how awesome the roads are here and amused at some who look very fit on there roadbikes but clearly not use to the hills and struggle. I enjoyed sitting on there back wheel on my slower hybrid and I'm carrying a load of dslr gear and water on my back. :>)
Climbing to Kangaroo Creek Dam.
On top of Checker Hill, a killer climb.
Second rider in shot is stage 1 winner and local Jack Bobridge.
The approaching peloton. I had the wrong lens on and they pass so quick but it was a good spot to watch from.
I know two riders here are Richie Porte and Michael Rodgers.
Heading back home after the pro's were gone back down Checker Hill (half way down) doesn't look steep in a photo.
Seemingly never ending spectators heading home.
The camera lies. There freewheeling fast down hill.

15km today riding around the course on stage 2 at the TDU. It was so packed with spectators at Sterling I don't think I could have got a photo, it was madness there!
This lot was the break away. It didn't last.
They all came to see my bike

50km on my new Specialized Sirrus Pro Carbon Disc, fed up with waiting for Giant Fastroad CoMax 1 or CoMax 0 (most likely '16 Model) and settle for the Specialized hybrid. The bike is better than I thought, very quick and smooth gear shifting with the new SRAM X-01 11 speeds.

I did 75 miles with my hybrid going from san jose to fremont and back. It was challenging with it being 43F in the morning, it took over 6 hours ride time.

Hi Fudgeurpizza, Vero beach looks warm and sunny, must be great to cruise past on the bike. JBC, outstanding pictures and great to look at, got to see Richie Porte over here, last July.
Had a look out today, intended to do a loop over the moors but it ended up an out and return due to too much ice at 1000ft. First ride out for 3 weeks so really enjoyed the cheeky 1 in 4 gradient up Kepwick Bank. Took the Crosstrail, first ride on it for a while and enjoyed comparing its different characteristics to the Sirrus. Either way, both nice. Granny ring, ha - had to use it because it was there!!
Some blue sky,,,,,,,,,,,,
The snow made a great bike stand,,,,,,,,,,
The 4 x 4, must've given up at this point - I did 200 yards further on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
The top of Kepwick Bank, North York Moors - looking West across the Vale Of Mowbray towards The Pennines.
Turned round at this point and cycled the 10 miles back home. Did meet a chap biking up as I descended, he was wearing shorts, probably didn't bat an eyelid at the ice.

Hi there Lopek.
They are made by 'Carboncycles', model eXotic Carbon Rigid MTB Fork - Disc Only Post Mount, product code FOM65.
They made a big difference over the stock forks. Lighter, more responsive and a massive improvement.

Happy Australia Day holiday to all the Aussies on here.
Went down the holiday home at Bruny Island , a little island south of our little island ( Tasmania )
Got a couple of rides in over the long weekend. Yesterday was pretty on/off weather wise but during a break got to do a quick ride into Penguin Island in the South Bruny National Park

Not a very recent pic, but I thought I will share it. It's NW part of lower peninsula of Michigan, in a beautiful Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park
Awesome destination year long. Beautiful, quiet roads, mostly flat, with a choice of awesome rolling hills roads.
Beautiful, quiet and slow flowing (which is great) river tubing:
Some awesome views:
Awesome golf course at the edge of Lake Michigan:
Mackinac Island with no cars allowed. Bikes and horses only! Home of America's original Grand Hotel:

Just a quick 9 mile night ride on a local trail to get moving tonight. Not much to see except the lighting on the Fuji Absolute...
