I found that my middle ring on an 11t rear cog was plenty for my local trails. Not saying that you need to be like me at all. I was just surprised at how little I've noticed my big ring being gone.
It would give you quite a bit more clearance. Either way, you've got a slick set-up with the big ring bash. I'm digging that sucka for its intended purpose.

I use the big ring for riding around town (I dont ride my roadie because I always find cool stuff to huck off of). I'd like to get a stronger frame in the future, but for now my current frame will work.

I was thinking that to. Cool bike, but disc in the rear, dart fork and vee in the front?
Long story short... money. Or, lack there of.
Origin 8 made these frames with screw in v brake bosses on the rear. They only included them with sale of new frames from a dealer. Since the frame is not in production anymore, neither are the bosses. I tried high and low to find some for the rear, but no such luck. So I had to get a disc rear. Ya dig?
I'll eventually get a matching set of wheels. But... it's fun, and it does the job.

Are those Jones bars or the Titec Version?
How do you like em?
I am going to mess around with some mary bars this winter to see if I like the rear hand position and if I do might plunk down the coin for the jones bars next spring

The super Pitch, in at 33# give or take a half pound either way.
Craptacular fishing scale that I'm sure isn't super accurate.
The burly hardtail came in at 30# even, and the singlespeed at 26# even. Road bike is 16.5# and the commuter/crosser is 18.5# with the fixed rear wheel. Didn't bother to weigh it with the Sturmey-Archer internal rear hub setup - that thing is a tank.

I just picked this up, with helmet and gloves. Not good with camera =/
New to the sport, and this bike felt nice when I tried out a few at the shop.

Yeah mangloid, that is a pretty nice bike. Looks pretty rad. That seat looks dementedly huge though.

Pure garage there. My trainer is setup with the road bike not too far of, and the wife has a treadmill coming in a few days. Laundry room as well. We have to shuffle some boxes around now to make room for all that, and have the ability to get a car in.

Were you talking to me? If so, those are Jones bars and I love them. If I could figure a way to put them on my Titus, I would

I'm liking the color combo's these days.
The Trek and the Pitch are both pimpin'.
33# for a bike like that ain't bad, Scrub!
After running short stems for a while now...anything longer than about 75mm looks weird to me.

And that is with fat 2.6" tires - one of which is the DH variety, a lower chainguide, and a Gravity Dropper post. With the Lyrik Solo Air I'd originally planned on, that would have shaved a bit more as well, though the deal on the Totem Solo Air was just too good to pass up. Actually very glad to have gone that route; the thing is silly stiff. With 2.35" tires, no guide, regular post it'd be down two pounds, but I'm very happy with the way it is now and have no plans for change.

Well, the IndyFab was built just for me so it felt better than any bike that I have had. The H-Bars fall into perfect position and you get used to it quickly and wonder how you ever rode without them

Nice scale you got there, scrub. I should have weighed the XTS Moto on that one

Changed some stuff on my bike since the last picture.
Got an MTX rear rim, Race Face Evolve DH stem, Holzfeller 710mm bars, ODI lock ons, an LX front derailer so now I have a 2x9 set up, and a 05 Marzocchi Z1 FR 1. Also changed the tires up. Kenda Kinetic 2.35 rear and a Tioga Factory DH 2.3 front

Real steel from the past. Specialized Stumpjumper from the 90's with RS Indy XC, Gripshift X-ray twisting Shimano LX and XT 8 speed gear. Modern parts are Terry Fly saddle, Campus peddles and WTB Velociraptor tyres/tires.
I enjoy the steel ride. It has personality and feel that only my titanium road bike can match. I've rented the aluminum HT and DS demo's with modern suspension and they feel dead in the feedback department. I will not do carbon fiber at all, Mtb or road. How in the world are you suppose to feel fibers suspended in glue********** I DO NOT RACE, I DO NOT HERO WORSHIP RACERS CARBON BIKES.
Rant is done now. Time to ride my bike and get it wet and dirty.
That's Pikes Peak through the tree's.

Umm...Magmol...lots of us don't like feedback from large structures and drops that our suspension is designed to suck up. I sure don't want any feedback on my next staircase (logcase...Banner Cr, hehe). Agree'd, carbon is for sissy nad-grabbers, but feedback is for electric guitars, hehe.
"rant done"
Mostly just kidding.
I'm a little taken back, man. I had a '97 Rockhopper A1FS Comp with an Indy-C...actually a few notches under your ride. Nice sentimental journey.
