Interesting. Not many people doing concentrics any more. Lenz and Rotec are two that come to mind. Hinged dogbone is a unique approach too.

That's right. I think I like the looks of the DMR better. I know the Killswitch probably works fine - - just looks odd.

Gotta ask at this point though: why not go with a Bottlerocket or Double and be done with it?

Won't fit on my bike rack and that I don't exactly have the best luck with aluminum. Which is why the Bolt is intriguing to me.

Hinge looks excessive and just one more bushing/bearing to loosen up.

In thinking about this more, when you have a fixed swingarm, you have to have some kind of hinging in the swing-link - - or have pivots or flex in the seatstays (like the Yeti AS-Rs and 575s). Any way you do it, there's going to be pivots and bearings.

Looking back at my AS-X, it had a small dogbone that attached the shock to the swing-link; so it too was actually a sort of scissor:

And, yes, I had to replace some bearings once; but they were standard industrial cartridge so I got them pretty cheap at the local bearing supply.
