Formula DC-32 hubs...not "unimpressed"...

I was kinda skeptical about the hubs on this Parker. Formula hubs are known to be cheap OEM crap.

These aren't so terrible though.

-popular sized sealed cartridge bearings
-fully servicable
-replacement freehub body is easy to find
-easy to disassemble

-no exploded views and service instructions on Formula's site
-initial setup from the factory is questionable
-no bearing bush support tool (have to get creative)
-465g

They're obviously not as good as a decent aftermarket hub, but for an OEM hub...I don't see myself replacing this wheelset any time soom. I can keep the rims trued up and keep new bearings in the hubs. Assuming I don't bend an axle...they should last a few years.

I'm still running a Formula laced to Mavic 231 front wheel that came on my 1996 Mongoose.

-popular sized loose ball bearings
-fully serviceable
-easy to disassemble

-totally crap factory setup
-not nearly as smooth as the LX hubs on the wheelset I got for $90 a couple years later.
-never weighed it though, nor looked up the model number.

I think the bearings in the front are the same as my Hope's.
