New York City frame work

Does anyone know any shop in the city that does frame work? Specifically, I'm contemplating getting the cantilever bosses on my bike rebrazed to fit 700c wheels.

Thanks for any help.

Don't know, but perhaps consider Paul Motolite BMX brakes instead. Highly adjustable, you can use them to switch between 26" and 700c wheels on the same bike. Should run about $220 for a pair if you shop around.

Bilenky out here in Philly will do that kind of stuff. Any frame builder in NYC should be able too.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there's a frame builder on ****man way uptown (north of the GW Bridge on the west side).

Bump.

I'm from Philly so I know about Bilenky, but I think that would be a bit of a pain for me. I'll take it to them if there are no other options. At least I would know that they'll do a good job.

I had contacted JohnnyCoast a while back, but they never really got back to me with any information or pricing. I just emailed them again, so hopefully they'll respond.

Air, any more info on the framebuilder uptown?

Johnny Coast probably has too much going on building frames. Try the welder at Chelsea bikes on W26th bet. 6/7th.

chelsea quoted me between $65 and $95 for just the front fork. bilenky quoted me $45 for the same. i might end up working with my friend to do it myself. otherwise, i'll probably go with bilenky. thanks everyone.

Are you talking about the Tread bike shop on the corner of Dyckman & Seaman Ave (1 block west of Broadway)?
