Just got it last week. Was a pretty serious Mountain Bike guy a few years ago, but I want to eventually commute to work, so I got this cyclocross. Really enjoying my return to cycling.

Well there she is. Ordered from Realcyclist.com and just delivered today. Would of shot the traditional white front garage door but the weather really is crappy this evening. Out of the "big box" the bike is fully assembled and was flawless with no scratches etc. Everything was adjusted/torqued fine but I still did some fine tuning to suit my tastes. The stem is 90mm and I will swap it out with a 130mm. Possible Thomson set back seat post and will switch the brakes to the opposite sides before cross season starts.

I think this could make a cyclocross racer minus the bar ends.
It's only 8kg so easy to carry just rest the back of your hand over your shoulder, hold it in your fingers under the top tube on your back.
It's totally custom built and my version of the ultimate all round bike eg. cyclocross, MTB, hybrid, road rat with 23mm road slicks.

Post Paris to Ancaster. 60m km of road, fire roads, single and doubletrack, farmers fields, all with a 45 km wind, 2 degree weather and a steady mix of sideways rain, snow and hail. A truly epic and awesome ride.

Had a chance to get it muddy this weekend on a local 20 miler loop. Even saw some snow on the trailside as I got up to the top elevations of the ride.

I rode it for the first time last month on my geared bike and thought I need to take my Pompino there, I usually ride 42/18. I think I'll be walking at least one hill on the powerline trail and one on the pipeline but everything else looks good.

Ok, now we have the white garage door pic. Took off the 90mm stem and put on a 130mm FSA stem. I have everything dialed in and just have been on some short shake down rides. The paint job is flawless and the welds are perfect. This is my first time on SRAM and the rear shifting is very precise and crisp. The front shifting I'm not to thrilled with but it does move the chain as advertised. Great braking, very solid. Had just a very slight brake chatter up front and I toed in the pads a chatter went away. Wheel/tire durability I won't know until I take it on some serious trail rides. But so far so good.

5'10 and you're on a 54?? i have a 32" inseam as well and i ride a 57-59 depending on company
have you ever been professionally fitted? you could be getting a lot more power of your legs with a larger frame and a more forward saddle position. and your reach wouldn't be affected at all.
looks like both bikes have a 20mm setback post and the saddles are far back. if you weren't on the other side of the country i'd say come in to my shop and let me give you a consultation. just to try it out. you can always change it back
