What locks and how do you carry?
For those who ride in city settings, what bike lock/s do you use, and how do you carry it/them?

I have 2 D-locks which I carry in my pannier bag (both are gold rated On Guard) .... one secures the back wheel and frame to wherever I'm locking it, and the other goes through the front wheel and onto the frame
I have just bought a Surly LHT which will be delivered towards the end of the week, and I'm seriously looking at getting a good chain such as a Pewag square chain with an Ablock padlock aswell as some Pitlock skewers etc which will protect things such as my wheels as seatpost/saddle (I live in a high bike theft area)
I'm also looking very closely at bicycle insurance. It's not all that expensive and covers theft aswell as vandalism and their lawyers handle cases if you are injured by car drivers etc

Probably 90 % of my miles are within city limits.
The only lock I use is the one on my front door.

Kryptonite NY Standard lock on top tube with slight angle so I can reach the bottle. Also have a lighter weight Onguard Akita 8040 6' Cable Lock for group rides that I bring. I will bring both on a solo ride.

Cheers guys. The reason I posted this in the road forum was because I wanted to see what people who are more about speed are using. I will carry my old Army duffel bag stuffed with beach towels and clothing and such when that's my plan, but somedays I just want to put down a hundred miles or so riding and I want to limit my weight and don't want to carry a bag or even a backpack, but like Nacho said, sometimes you have to stop to use the restroom or even grab a bite to eat for a few minutes.
