I'm allowed one troll topic per quarter. I blew my allowance today on a 15 mile ride thread. @PepeM is on deck.
Stop.
Take it private, or elsewhere, but just don't take it here.

Still kicking.
Rode when I should have rested today.

True story: I quit a three pack a day smoking habit at the end of March in 1982. I was just shy of 31 years of age. My wife buys me this little book in the checkout line of the grocery store. The book was how to ride a century in 10 weeks.
I had just a junk bike down from the rafters and had starting riding it around the block because my doc told me exercise was a good way to stave off cravings.
So, I took this little book and followed the plan to the letter. By week 9, I was supposed to do a 75 miler on Sunday. Off I go and I felt so good at 75 that I went ahead and rode my first century.
There you go. From a 3 pack a day smoker to my first century in about 9-1/2 weeks, all from a little supermarket book.

Just had a brilliant thread idea, but I'm too lazy to implement. The gist:
Three months to train for century ride?
The doctor just gave me 3 months to live and I'm wondering if that is long enough to train for a century ride.
I often ride 50-60 mile rides and am wondering if 3 months is enough time to train up to get in a full 100 miles. Also, what kind of nutrition should I take along? This would be a solo non-supported ride.
Thanks in advance!
I would then completely downplay the 3 months to live aspect basically ignoring any comments related to it.
Alas, I have no patience for this and I'd probably get the ban hammer.

@PepeM, you have ruined my life.
Got my pactimo jersey today. It fits really well. I love it. I liked their FB page last week & now I'm seeing a 40% TDF sale. Must. Resist. More. Jerseys.
I also got my Rapha 20% off order today. Long sleeve black non-turtleneck merino base layer. Now I have the trifecta: two short sleeve merino base layers, two long sleeve non-turtleneck base layers & two turtlenecks.
Also a high vis hot pink short sleeve lightweight jersey. Also fits very well.
I need light colored jerseys on account of so much riding pre-dawn. So now I have two perfectly-fitting light colored Rapha jerseys and one perfectly fitting light colored Pactimo jersey and a new light colored club kit waiting for me at the shop. I do not know yet if this one will turn out to be perfectly fitting.
All set.

Huge!
The ones on sale now at 40% off are the Ascent jerseys. Not as form fitting, which means wrinkles.
But they have two Summit jerseys (this is the perfectly fitting style I got with my code) on sale. One is $40! The other is $75. Must. Resist. More. Jerseys.
(Even though my birthday is coming up.)

Well, that house inspection went like crap. Ugh, I might need to terminate again. In addition to wood rot on the outside, 78 windows with messed up seals, there's a slab leak, the master bath tub upstairs is leaking through the damn ceiling and down a wall, and the other shower upstairs just shoots water back behind the tile into who-knows-where. Oh yeah, electrical issues all over the place, too.

Nope. Four men's jerseys in the July TDF sale. Only one woman's jersey.
The women's Summit jerseys I saw are in the Outlet section. I didn't look in the Men's Outlet.
