Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am a late to the party smartphone adopter. My first smartphone was an iPhone 4. Previously I had a simple basic flip-phone. Subsequently got a 5c and now on a 6. Overall I am fairly pleased with the iPhones but have not tried android or other types of smartphones so I have nothing to compare it to.

How's this for a thread: "Proof: Bearings have no bearing on average speed."

I had a Palm Pilot back in like 2000. I still remember the "graffiti" you had to use with it.

Treo was my first, too, but it's been so long that I honestly can't remember if it was a 650 or what. Definitely PalmOS, though. Oh, but I do remember the magic of the first time that I did a remote desktop in to my home PC from my phone. Wowz.

Today was one of those days where I cut the ride short 'cause I just wasn't feeling it; I just couldn't go. Of course, I got home and looked at the numbers and I wasn't far off of recent pace. Very weird.

Hanspring Visor. Of course, it wasn't a phone, though Sony had a Palm Pilot version with a phone in it. The Visor was nifty, but there wasn't a whole lot to DO with it.

Speaking of DQ, Dairy Queen has this new funnel cake sundae. It looks scrumpdiliousious (sp?) on tv. I may have to conduct field testing to confirm.

I suspect that should be "scrumdiddlyumptious". Bleh - it's still fast food, and soft serve.

Though AG and I have an attempt at pineapple-vodka soft serve in the freezer. That should be yummy for a bit later.

Dear @PepeM,

I have a confession to make. I love that Pactimo jersey but I'm not sure it is my 100% favorite over my hot pink Rapha lightweight souplesse jersey. They both fit perfectly & look sharp.

BUT the Rapha jersey has a little zippered pocket for your coffee money whereas the Pactimo does not.

Therefore I think the 100% love goes to the Rapha jersey whereas the Pactimo only gets 98% love.

Whew, I'm glad I got that off my chest.

Cordially,
Heathpack
