Riley looks very snuggle-able. But he also looks like he would be too wiggly to suffer it for very long.

So I took the new MTB out on the mups last night to get some miles in on it.
Turns out trail bikes are not road bikes. That was hard work to go slow. The stock tires and wheels on this thing are pigs, unfortunately. Not sure if I should just get the lighter (but less durable) plus tires and convert to tubeless or if I should go ahead and look for a cheap set of 29er wheels for when I want light, and leave these tanks for where appropriate.
Although, TBH I should probably not do anything right away. The only thing is that these beasts are making learning the MTB skills (long manuals, high bunny hops, etc) harder than it needs to be.

The driver of an LBS van enthusiastically waved at and gave me a thumbs up on the ride today. Said LBS is the main Jamis dealer in town, so he probably thought that I was one of theirs. Now I feel like I should go buy something from them, because I don't think that I've spent a dime in their shop.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
Forget everything I said. I want this stupid thing.
I don't know why, but it speaks to me. Maybe a rigid fork down the line. Components are base entry level for 1x11, but they are good enough to wear out and replace later.
