HR Max?
Today while while out on my ride I hit 102% HR max. Granted, I have a few pounds of winter fat to loose (5 lbs. actually) and I'm not in the best of shape even given my almost daily rides on the trainer. I was climbing a hill in a gear that I usually use in the summer and didn’t realize my HR was so high until I started to get winded at the top. Anyway it got me thinking: is it theoretically possible to be 102% HR MAX, or if you go over what you thought was your HR Max, then you should readjust your HR Max to the new higher number because you were wrong.

Readjust and search the forums. There are postings for this. Come to think of it, if it isn't a sticky somewhere, it should be.

No, it is not theoretically possible to be at 102% HR MAX. The only way your are going to get your HR past your MAX is if your HR Monitor is on the fritz.
I am sure your calculated HR MAX is incorrect...
