Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not slagging your bike mate, I think it's lovely, just being pedantic on the terminology.

I got my first ever new road bike over the weekend. I've been wanting a new bike for around 10yrs (I've had my M2 since '98) and I've had the $ since around March and I've been waiting for this bike since they announced the line in early July. Only got in a brief ride on Sunday. Love it. 2018 Synapse - Dura-Ace. Changed the lettering to green using a Cameo Silhouette (vinyl cutter) and lot of work with the design software and photo-shop.

2018 Lynskey R260 with Ultegra Di2 and hydraulic disc brakes. Ultegra 8000 pedals. Put my Brooks B17 saddle on it, the bottle cages, lights, tool bag, etc. Put a pair of Compass "Stampede Pass" 32mm tires on it.

Just got it on Monday, maiden voyage yesterday, around 65 miles on it so far and loving it.

The huge tires and the huge Brooks saddle make the rest of the bike look oddly proportioned, but they're really nice and comfortable. Rides great, the Di2 is cool, I like having 11-speed (old bike was 9 speed) for closer shifting in my usual speed range.

FM-32 with November wheels and Sram Force 22.

All-City Spacehorse. I really like the Shimano 105. It is very quiet and shifts like butter, very nice. I am debating putting the Brooks saddle back on my mountain bike and installing a Sella SMP saddle on the Spacehorse.

Frame up rebuild on my 2010 Lynskey. I also rebrushed the frame and it looks brand new. Gotta love titanium

Steve,
I really like the Lynskey rebuild, came out great! What water bottle cages are those? Like the minimalist look for my new build this winter.

Thank you sir! The cages are carbon/ti made by Cannondale. They're insanely hard to find and I don't think they were manufactured very long. you might be able to track some down though

Just pick up a Trek Emonda SLR6. Soo nice. It puts my SuperSix Evo to shame. It loves to climb hills and is so efficient.

A Time, one of the few manufacturers that make their own frames, one of the fewer that give you a free tour of their factory near Lyon and perhaps the only one that gives you a free meal as well !

I'll post a picture later
