Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here's my new bike built up on a Surly Pacer frame. It's equipped with Ultegra SL Components, Ksyrium Equipe wheels and a bit of Crank Brothers and Easton stuff to round out the package. Bars have to be turned up and I don't like the cork tape as much as I thought I would. Sorry about the thumbnail, I'm too tired tonight to figure out how to attach it like everyone else.

I feel like such a n00b posting this picture... It's used. It was $25 at a garage sale, but it's what made me fall in love with cycling!!!

I can't afford a better bike at the moment, so I make due. I'm not a competitive cycler, but I love it all just the same

That's a steal for 25$! Just clean it a bit and remove those unwanted discs etc on your bike.

A friend of mine had to take some pics for a photo course he's doing. Today I was the "target" of his camera. It's the cross bike with some road wheels fitted...

i just bought my first bike -
a devinci chicane (2006 i think).. couldn't really find many reviews about it but it was on sale for 699 and seemed to fit me quite well - not sure where to start upgrading probably just going to ride it for a few months first.

Just picked it up today, on consignment. Upgraded to 10 speed from 9 through parts from PBK. Pretty happy -- only one problem: seat needs to come up 2cm but the post is stuck in the seat tube. Arg.

I ride a trusty old Villiger which costed me 200 USD. Most people I take over are wearing shorts that are worth more than that...
