New Girl Arrives!!!!!!!
Here's my new 58cm 2008 Madone 6.5 Performance. Picked her up this afternoon, but the weather SUCKS up her in CT., so couldn't take her for the maiden voyage. My shop weighed her w/out pedals, and with the stock saddle (swapped it out for the black/red Toupe Team), and she came in at 15.3 lbs!! With the Toupe, it should come down a bit. With a pair of ZIPP 202's, I could probably get her around 14.5 lbs. Anyhow, now I have to convince the wife to let me keep the Pilot (2005 5.2) as my foul weather/indoor trainer bike. If she insists I sell it, I won't have a choice

Looks a bit upright, but the bars are actually 2 inches below saddle height. The angle of the photos really doesn't show that too well. As I am an old man , my lower back tends to cry a bit, so 2 inches is about all I can take. I may take out a spacer or two once I get into the racing season, but I'm not going to go too aggressive too soon.

Here's my three babies The middle photo is my new Madone 6.5. I swapped out the stock Bonty compact for the standard D/A crank, swapped the Bonty Race X Lite saddle for a Toupe Team saddle, and added Look KEO Carbon (chromoly spindles) pedals, added red Selle San Marco bar tape, ZIPP Carbon Bottle Cages, and S-Works Mondo Tires. Weighed in at 15.3 w/o pedals before changes.
