Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Another HOT from me. But, I would have thought a bike of that caliber would have internal cable routing. How come it doesn't?

The Evo has an internal Rear brake housing but that is all of I'm not mistaken.

That's a question you'll have to ask Cannondale. The only bikes that have internal routing are ones equipped with Di2 shifting.

Just seems odd to me. I hate having external cables on my bike. I'm hoping my next one has internal routing for everything.

Cannondale uses internal rear brake, but they reported that other locations for internal routing resulted in compromising frame stiffness and I guess they weren't willing to make changes to the frame to accomodate. If you look at some bikes with internal routed cables (especially carbon bikes) you may notice a trend to beef up the headtube where the entry location is (e.g. Trek Madone). However, the Trek uses an internal sleeve that makes routing cables a lot more convenient, whereas the Cannondale doesn't and can be a pain in the ass if you're not careful when routing.

Which is amusing since the 2014 CAAD10's have ICR. Sounds like they are trying to justify not investing in new molds yet for their carbon fiber road bike lines. My new Specialized Roubaix SL4 Expert is incredibly stiff despite having ICR.

I did. I'm running SR11-EPS on both the Ridley and the De Rosa. Those pics that got quoted were from last summer. The last time the Ridley had those OEM colors were right before they went to the custom painter earlier this year.

Well, to be fair I should clarify that I'm specifically talking about the older frames that I'm more familiar with. I know less about the new 2014 frames, but I personally think it's all kind of difficult to say for certain the context of the statement about their choice to not use ICR. Like I said there are obviously ways to run ICR, many of which are superior to what Cannondale offers in terms of functionality, so I would take my early statement with a grain of salt ...

... now back to sexy bikes >.>

I think it is a sugino tourist or something similar. I have more photos of the bike and crankset under my profile in its own thread.

Hi guys,
Another newbie here with my new pride and joy (and it's quite a joy...) 695SR Mondrian. This was on a grey, overcast day so just imagine that color scheme in direct sunlight!

Look 695SR Mondrian
SRAM Red with TRX brakes
Mavic Cosmic SLRs
And some just-the-right-side-of-obnoxious red detailing with the hoods and cables :-)
