Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For me, hot usually has an element of "classic" to it.
Far-out spaceship looking bikes do not appeal to me as much.

I agree with you for the wheels/tires are very loud. I swap the frame of my old bike (Opus Alto) with this one a month ago. Is wasn't that bad with the other frame. I'm planing to change the tires with some Conti GP4000S and put a silver chain instead of gold before the next season.

Here is a photo of y bike with black tires but they are 23mm and i prefer the feeling of 25mm (Vittoria are 25mm).

Ha! I actually like it better with the gumwall tires. Though, it's no secret I am a sucker of gum/tan/skinwall. Not surprised you prefer the feeling of the larger tires. A much more pleasant riding experience.

Switched pedals bike looks way better now:

The new pedals also have a way more positive click to them and hold the foot better than the Candy pedals.

By being abandoned in a moldy, dusty garage? What a sad destiny.

That frame color somehow makes that look good. For a don't give a flip commuter/cyclocross I like it.

Nope, its grungy. I have about 20k miles on that saddle. Frame and wheels are new, everything else was pulled off an old bike.

Has spots of hotness. You took the time to line the wheels up for the picture, but not the tires on the wheel. Front doesn't match the rear on the wheel. Also, are my eyes playing tricks on me, or do you not really need that setback post?

I would agree that the set back post makes no sense with were you have your saddle positioned. Your stem looks long, 120-130? Maybe too long which is why you have can't run the saddle back a bit? Speaking of saddle, the nose is heavy looking. Also a mix of SRAM and Shimano, BUT, a nice bike.

The saddle seems to be clamped right around the middle section of the rails. The big nose makes the saddle look like it's jammed forward on the seatpost.

Oh, and I would guesstimate the stem to be 110 mm.
