Need RELIABLE co2 inflator head
Just the little head, not the big kind that encloses the cartridge. Please recommend the most RELIABLE one.

Simple. No fuss. Screw on the cartridge, put it on the valve stem, back the cartridge off a quarter turn, inflate tire. I'm amazed at how much difficulty other riders have with their fancy inflators. This one has no moving parts and is idiot proof - as revealed by the fact that I can use it w/o difficulty.

I had a brand new Ravx that works like the Genuine Innovations one. The first time I tried to use it, the seal blew out with a bang and it left me stranded. Maybe the Gen Inn one is better?

Also, if you need cheap threaded 16 gram cartridges, there are people on Ebay selling them for $1.45 delivered.

My concern with this pump would be how easy is it to pump a tube up to 100 psi? The only pump that I have tried that I liked was the road morph. I had a frame pump and I hated it. So, I replaced it with a Co2 and carry three cartridges.

Anyone can get 100psi out of a Road Morph. It's very well designed. The new CFH line from Lezyne adds CO2 capability to their mini pumps. So you can have a good mini pump + CO2 inflator all in one. I'll definitely be picking one up as soon as they're available.

I used mine in anger for the first time on Friday. Not only did it work, it gave me 10% more pressure than I got in my three test runs and that was with a valve that was too short for my rim. I was surprised. I also need different spare tubes.

Lost
air chuck in one saddle bag, and this one in another. i like this one better because i has a screw valve.
never had a problem with either though.
that said, i havent used co2 in the longest time since i've bought a lezyne pump, its very easy to use, and i'm not wasting a cart for ever flat.
i've never had a mini pump with hose before this lezyne, and i think they should all come with one, it makes pumping much easier without destroying the valve. i can go to 100 psi with relative ease.

So be it. What looked lame, however, was watching a cyclist heave his Air Chuck SL across a field, after 10 minutes of trying to get the spring to compress on winter ride. Either way, they'll both work fine most of the time. I'll take the one piece inflator anyday.

Hmmm through it away...there is a life time guarantee on the Air Chuck. I had mine replaced after the seal was chewed up by the valve stem thread over time.

I got to put mine to the test Thursday on a group ride. It was easy and quick. You just screw it in until the pierces the CO2. Then you unscrew to let the air out. The actual nozzle is pretty lightweight and looks durable. The outside is plastic, but the internals are metal.
