That Calfee looks nude but I can assure you it has a clear coat on it. My GF's Tetra Pro looks exactly like it and there are some spots where the clear has bubbled. Nothing outrageous but I've seen this bubbling on several Calfees and am somewhat perplexed as they are such nice frames.

Calfee took a green pad to the top and bottom tubes to clean off the decals when they replaced them. If it had a clear coat it would have been obvious then.
Calfee does make frames that have a clear coat on them but this one is nude.
By the way, the frame shines like it has a clear coat because it has 303 applied to it.

Also it's unidirectional cf so it does look different.

Dude-
If you really want that type look- do yourself a favor and look at Parlee. They get fantastic reviews. Supposed to be super bikes.

I would put Parlee, Crumpton and Calfee all in the same category. They are all excellent bikes and both Parlee and Calfee are available in nude and I think Crumpton is too. I think Calfee offers a lower priced bike that the other two. A Luna Pro is the Calfee entry level frame and I think it is around $1,800. I had one before my Calfee Tetra and I really liked it, but I need a taller head tube which is why I bought the Tetra.

And no, I'm not worried anout my penis falling off, shriveling a bit perhaps, but not becoming detached.

I was briefly interested in the naked/nude references until I determined the subject was a bicycle frame. Silly, silly me . . .

Whilst searching for paint-scheme ideas I came upon this thread. I am now bringing it back from the dead in order to shed light on things and to offer thanks.
This is a nice idea. I waxed my candy red 95 GT Force and it took all the fine scratches out. It now looks new with a very nice deeper glossy look. However, I wonder how the turtle wax would look and how it would hold up on my naked Kuota Kredo. I sanded it down and am now searching paint options.
That BMC had a matte clear-coat. I sold a RM01 a couple years back that had the same coat and carbon. It looks really amazing. If the bike were to be painted with a matte black, the texture of the unidirectional carbon would no longer be visible. It is already somewhat hard to see because it is a very high quality UD.
I cannot make up my mind for the paint job. Perhaps leaving it naked. I never leave my bike in the sun for any longer than it takes to ride it, so I don't think sun damage would be a problem.

I have a nude carbon frame on my Calfee. I like it because it is much harder to scratch, pit or ding. I would never put a clear coat on it because the clear coat can scratch. However, with a nude frame you should clean it with 303 protectant. A nude frame can be damaged over time by the sun. 303 is similar to Armorall in that it will make the bike shine like it has a clear coat but also provides it with UV protection. It should be applied at least twice a year.
Paint works because it's sun-proof. Clear coats work because the photons excite specially chosen molecules inside the clear coat, which uses up the photons' energy. However even 14 coats of clear coat will fail eventually allowing surface damage to the substrate. So I'm a little nervous about an extremely thin coating. If you ride 500 hours/year, which many of us do, and you live in Arizona, that's like leaving your boat out in the sun for ~2 months. Usual clearcoat lasts about 5 years, so that's ~30 years of cycling. However 303 is not your usual clear coat. On a boat, that sort of thing lasts maybe 6 months, if that. So maybe if you redo the 303 a couple times a year, it'll be fine.
I'll give it a try. Worse comes to worse, I can sand the damaged epoxy off and do something else.
