I've been off the forum for a while...off the bike for a while really. I had one of the early sets of the S4.0 shown here on my old Bottecchia. I gave the wheels to my father as he races and I wasn't using them. They are holding up very well for him.

^ Nice but those are heavy by today's standards.

i have heard that he does that. mine are under the clear coat, so you can barely see or feel them. very cool stuff. the cell phone camera really exaggerates the contrast between the sections of carbon on the wheels and the decals....they really just look flat black.

Very nice, i'm on the list for some C4.0's. Coming close to the fourth week so its close. Although with my accident last week i won't be able to ride them when they arrive. Those 5.0s are very nice, i'm thinking of changing my order to them to get the extra 10mm of depth.

I'm debating between the C5s and C6s...
I'm trying a pair of zipp 404s (58mm) during my next Tri.. if the wind does not turn out to be much of a problem, i will get the C6s otherwise just the C5s.
@ Inertianija - That's a very lovely and aero looking road bike. I remember staring at the Madone a few days ago and just thinking, boy, this frame could not get any less aero.

Very nice! I like it. Between these and the 2.0SLs that is some major wheel envy.

Wow... first and only post is to make an unsubstantiated claim against a company/member who many people trusts and supports.

Hi all,
Hope everyone is well, I just wanted to chime in here to address some issues:
1) Bottles of water-
We are starting to ship our wheels out with EMS Express from our warehouse in Taiwan instead of Singapore. The shipping service is faster than before, and we will have stock of our standard wheels so people don't have to wait so long for standard wheels anymore. However, EMS express has a really weird way of calculating shipping costs. It costs us less to ship (by about USD40) if the box is heavier, otherwise they get calculated with volumetric weight.
We are working on a new box design to cut the size down, but until then we have to increase the weight of the box somehow. We wanted to have something hard/ heavy like pebbles or wood chips, but thought water was safer for the wheels.
2) Prodigy Rims-
The new prodigy rim molds belong to us. The older molds are PU foamcore rims with a Flat V profile, and we changed the molds to a PU bag rim with a foil profile. The change is progressive, and we started with the C5.0s. The C6.0s are still foam core as the new molds are not completed. I don't know how many times i have to tell people this, but we are probably going to be doing this simple exercise over and over again. What people are confusing our rims with are some that are seen on a couple of other wheel brands. Our rims are wider 22mm vs 21mm, deeper 51mm vs 50mm and lighter (new layup), to the other rims mentioned.
3) Plugs
All new carbon rims will have our own rimplugs installed. Unfortunately the modification of the molds also meant modifying the plugs. They are ready but unfortunately not in time for the carbon wheels we just shipped out.
4) Unverified message board attacks-
I was warned by a fellow bicycle wheel brand owner that there were certain individuals who were organising message board attacks on my brand. I can only assume that these guys are not just targetting me, but other brands as well. How true this is I am yet to ascertain, but judging from the random hate postings with unsubstantiated claims indicates to me that it 'could' be true. I'm not one for conspiracies, but if it is indeed true, I would just like to say to whoever is attempting to do this, to please focus on your own brand, develop your own products well and if they are good, people will buy them. Until then, the only winner here is hate.
I will try to send further updates to everyone on the new products that we have coming up, but internet has been down for 2 days, and I still can't access my e-mails.
Ommm.......

Some weekend goodness
Here are just a couple of things we are working on and some that have already been released in limited runs.
Here are a pair of wheels we are testing at the moment. It has a 37mm rim height (no, they are not Kin Lin XR380), and total weight is approx 1600g (yes because as you can see.... they are lighter ). We are thinking whether to replace the S4.0's 41mm rim with these. 100g difference but reduction in depth, testing will tell.
You can see a spy pic of our new hubs. Only front is shown, rear is top secret! lol.... well, more like still in the machine shop. Front has been reduced to 70g, but geometry is unchanged. Rear may increase in weight a little but gain a few significant features.
Here's the new alloy braking surface wheels we have mentioned to some. They are coming out at 1600g and is 52mm deep. As you can see, these are a fairing instead of a structural carbon. I felt since these are designed more with durability in mind, the fairing is a good idea. It also cuts down the weight dramatically. Same concept used by HED and Mavic, but lighter. Before the accusations come flying in, the rims are purchased, but we are already working on our own molds for these which are going to be a 45mm with a different shape. Details will be updated shortly on our website (can't work on new website at the same time as building wheels and designing new toys!).
On a happier note, here is the first Official SOUL Bikes T-shirt. Designed by Chris Piascik. We didn't want to create another boring logo t-shirts (which we already have and wear at tradeshows). Here's something people can wear out as well.

Have a great weekend and ride safe.

the bars also have internal cable routing (just like the K-Wing Compacts on my other bike) so they stay neat even without tape.
they are Kore Cockpit bars or something, got em off ebay. not really as stiff as they should be, but they were worth a shot since they were VERY inexpensive, and they have a lot of drop plus the flat wing top section.

On a serious note, the 2.0s are still holding strong and staying true. Thank you.

This is from my build thread.
Bike's almost done, wheels came in a few days ago. Threw them on the frame to see what they'll look like. Will post complete bike pics when done.

After close to 800 miles on my s3.0s they are holding up beautifully. I have hit some gnarly potholes/rough roads and they are still perfectly true. Sean, your products speak for themselves, keep up the great work!
