You want a mirror, but none of the three styles that are prevalent.
You will probably have to compromise.
I use the Italian Road Bike Mirror.

I don't use one, but I had a bar end mirror at one time and it worked well enough. After a while you'll be able to turn your head or look under your arm without losing your line.

I have a helmet mirror and I don't get the negative image. I have see what is behind me and my head hurts to turn all around. I find a helmet mirror to be more important than wheelsets, CF, component levels, and hydration. Not everyone agrees. Get a helmet mirror.

Any mirror is good as long as it is the same finish as your kickstand.
