Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No idea if the caad has a propretary headset or not. That said... as long as you know the specs of the bearings to find the right headset in the after market shouldnt be a problem go after market...

The bottom 1.5 bearing is standard, the top one no idea if is a 36x45 or a 45x45 specs, do you know the specs?

I don't have the specs, and haven't gotten around to actually measuring, not exactly sure on what to measure. There are some caad 10 headsets being sold, but no specs are listed there either, and run in the 90s, whereas a perfectly serviceable tapered headsets are available for 30-40.

The headset finder says 2012 caad 10s require a: SHIS:IS42 - 1-1/8" Italian Integrated (ISi) Threadless
I wonder if the headset specs changed much between the 2011 to 2012 model years.

Going with a Chris KIng headset soon, as said above, spend a little more now, it pays off in the long run. I intend to keep the CAAD 10 for a long, long time.
