Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Courses on Garmin Edge 200

I've just bought a Garmin Edge 200 and although I've not had the chance to get out and use it, I'm really pleased with the interface etc. I've uploaded a tcx file with cues to the NewRides folder and it's appeard on the device.

I'm planning to get out and ride my course tomorrow and had a question about when I press start. The start of my course is 3 miles from where I'll start the ride so I wanted to know whether I can start the ride when I set off and leave it to auto detect when I reach the course start or whether I need to discard the first 3 miles and press start when I start the course?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Press the lap button once you get to your "course". Once you finish your course, press the lap button again.
