Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The office uses Verizon, so I was Blackberry or Droid. When the iPhone became available, we switched. I wouldn't go back. Still using my iPhone 4.

I started collecting and testing clothing for motorcycles on ice and snow in 1968-69. For Bicycles 1995. I have all the right gear. I spin fast in low gears too, more body heat, less windchill. Lots of water and food. If you had the gear, you could do the same.

Leather mittens from the 1960's fell apart Last week.

Or you crawl inside a tonton until Han Solo gets the snow shelter built.

yea.. i don't tend to do more than 3-4 hr rides in any weather. my toes are my limiting factor usually for winter. I was thinking of new booties but I can usually get enough rides in the 40s or higher that i can get by.

I <3 my 5 second cold boot ups with windows 8 & a SSD.

A healthy windows 8 install with a SATAII 7200rpm HDD averages 10 secs including bios post.

Similar story. I had a company Blackberry since forever. When I first got an iPhone for work I knew Blackberry was dead meat.

Stupid weather. Today is my first free Saturday in a month. Weather warned up, but rain canceled the club rides.

So I went out for a run. What could go wrong?? Turns out that there are still scattered ice patches on the road. Even though it's well above freezing. I lasted a couple miles but after several near-falls from ice, the mission was aborted.

Tomorrow will be better.

I think I am just getting more and more used to the Mac OS. I have not fallen in love at first site, but it works well, seems to need fewer updates and once you learn your way around seems to make sense.

Windows 8 works fine. Integrates nicely with my Windows phone, and does all I ask.
