Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

She's precious. Enjoy them in these teenage years, Datlas. Enjoy every moment, because they go fast, and once they're gone that precious little innocent of yours just doesn't elicit the same emotion when they're older. You still love the hell out of them, no doubt, but there's something special about those youthful days.

The only way to relive it would be to make another one . . . . . . . but the missus ain't gonna have that!

Yes, plus it's not going to happen. I have a younger daughter who is 12. I know each day/week/month/year seems to go by faster than the one before.

Any way to "flip it??" I mean the video. I can't seem to do that.

If you click the 'Edit' tab it will take you to a window where you can click a "rotate' function. Whether or not this will work for a video I don't know, I've only done stills in PB.

Nothing going on up here. We are flying over some small river, that's it. I just read an article about Knishes.

What you got for me? Anything interesting gong on in Sacramento?

I Never Got to Play for You (final version)

Of all the things that I never got to do
I never got to play for you
You left before I found my song
And now that you’ve been gone so long
The thought makes me blue
Cause I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you

Now there’s not much that I can do
But send this verse I wrote for you
I’ll try to find an angel near
To fly it high and hope you hear
It’s been overdue
I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you

I hope this finds you up above
I wrapped it up in all my love
Well thoughts of you they still evoke
To tell the truth my hearts still broke
Music pulls me through somehow
I’m playin for you now
I’m playin for you now

Of all the things that I never got to do
I never got to play for you
You left before I found my song
And now that you’ve been gone so long
My love is still true
But I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you
I never got to play for you

Sorry. Only other thing would be to try a video/movie program. For Macs I use iMovie, for PCs maybe Adobe Premier is the ticket.

Don't despair, there's a solution somewhere.

Here is another video of my daughter's middle school a capella group. She did the arrangement too. This one is on YouTube so I can post it properly.

It's bike racing. When you're in a tight pack @ 25mph+ this happens regularly. Impressively calm in that video, no screaming or histrionics, everybody bounces off and keeps moving. That's how it should be.

...nah, same ol', same ol'. Everybody's into saving water and eating organic food.

I have been eating out a lot, because the world's slowest contractor is reworking our cabinets in the kitchen.
Last night I had a piece of slow roasted pork shoulder in an ancho mole negro with sweet potato tamales.

I ate it here, at a corner table on the sidewalk, watching the local nightlife stroll past.

Among the standouts were three young tightbodies in cheerleader outfits (yes really), and two very tiny women
dressed all in black who were reminiscent of both Toulouse Lautrec and Alice Toklas/Gertrude Stein.

As a kid who used to eat them regularly on the boardwalk at Coney Island every summer, I can tell you
that a good potato knish is damned hard to find around here. You missed some terrible **** down around
LA while you were gone. But that's not news really.
