Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good biscuits are better than good donuts but mediocre donuts are better than mediocre biscuits.

Mmm I make a mean browned butter ice cream with salty pecans. It is excellent on homemade Dutch apple pie.

We have a farm one town over where they make their own ice cream from the cows they have.

It's REALLY good. We try to go once every couple of weeks. It's decadent.

BillyD is unexpectedly eccentric about nuts in his ice cream.

Emphatically unacceptable!

Cherries and strawberries and peaches and such are much preferred.

Of course, nothing on earth tops rum raisin.

Totally acceptable to do the browned butter ice cream sans pecans, they're 100% optional.

Salted caramel? That's my number two best ice cream.

Number three is coconut. Really good dessert is coconut ice cream & mango sorbet. It's like a tropical creamsicle. Or orange sherbet. I make an excellent orange sherbet.

Spent the afternoon with the wife. We took the scenic route on country roads to an area vineyard/winery for a tasting, good food and a stroll through the vines.

I only have a donut once in a great while. Way too many empty calories for a regular occurrence.

Yes, please same addy. Can't wait, thank you!

I had hopes it was going to be a wedding dress that was orange but that chick looks like she stole her dress from the statue in front of a Bob's Big Boy.
