...New Year resolutions: 1. more regular in yoga practice. 2. awake feeling good on January 1, 2016. 3. be more open to new ideas.
(note well: # 3 is not indicative of my new found desire to buy a carbon fiber bicycle cycle. I wonder if that means I've already failed ?)

I meant to post this last night, seemed appropriate for New Years Eve, but couldn't get around to it.
The amazing thing is that sometimes you can't get a clear shot of the moon no matter what you do, due to atmospheric conditions and such. But now and then you can get a very sharp, detailed shot with no hassle at all as in this instance. This shot is straight out of the camera with no adjustments on it whatsoever. Lucky shot.

Reserve the local VFW and hire a band. Make sure you have an open bar. Invite all of BF.

...no one ever cared once they got John Thompson as coach and kept on winning.
But since you ask, it is kind of a joke dating back to the days when every Jesuit skool student was required to take both Greek and Latin.

Speaking of classical language jokes, at the Princeton commencement the salutatorian gives their address all in Latin. The translation is printed in the students' programs but not in the guests' (parents, etc.). There are several places in the speech where audience response is expected, and the students all know when to cheer, applaud, laugh, guffaw, etc. The parents are mystified and think what a wonderful education their $200,000+ has bought.
Okay, well we WERE talking about jokes having to do with Latin and Greek.

Peloton Shelter Dog
Bad head cold. 23ºF and windy. Off the bike for most of 5 months and 3 operations. Time to ride.
And ride I did, 18 miles on a day where I was freezing my Pcad ass because no matter which way you rode it felt like you had the wind blowing on you. But I actually made it back up Mt. Doom and my two major medical issues (which appear to be largely resolved) did not hinder me on the bike. Still have some pain from that foot wound, but it LOOKS a whole lot better and I think it's healing. Cycling should help with the circulation in that leg. Bionic knee feels great.

2014 couldn't have possibly sucked any harder for me and my family, but at least I got my money's worth out of the health insurance.
