Cassette Grooves..BAD??

My American Classic 420 freewheel has some pretty deep gouges in it after only 500 miles.

Trading 517s/xt for Hayes 9's XC- Good deal?

I just put new rubber and tubes on it, so it's very rideable. I wish it still fit me.

I guess I'll try craigslist first then move onto ebay....

Favorite Carbon Bars(wing style)?

I'd have to say mine are the FSA Kwings. Can be had around $150 on ebay, are comfortable and look great.

I'm looking to replace my alu. bars and wanted to get some additional ideas.

I rode with a guy last night who has a Motobecane dually he bought for under $2K, and it's spec'd very well... I didn't think handled as well as my 6 year old GF Sugar....

Yes. I loosened the steerer tube bolts then tightened the top cap bolt then retightened the other two bolts....

In my mind, in a budget hardtail, it's all about the components. The warranty is also a major consideration, but the frames on most will be very similar build quality. Go for the best components....
